I've heard this quite a bit on the AC station. It's a remake of the song "At Seventeen", one of the songs that's on her "Uncover Me" album. I'm not sure if "Bring the Boys Home" was the first single from that album, or if this one is the official first single. You can hear the song on her Myspace... www.myspace.com/jannarden

I'm surprised I haven't made this topic. LOL
Now that you mention it, I hear this much more than I heard 'Bring The Boys Home' so I'm wondering if that song was just more of a "teaser" track and this is the actual first single. I just considered this song to be the second single as the quick-followup to 'BTBH'.
This is a good cover. Jann has some awesome covers on her album. I quite like 'Peace Train' and 'Son Of A Preacherman' and 'Downtown'. 'Uncover Me' is my favourite CD of 2007 so far.

Darn, this song might be too soft for Hot AC... it's only at #78 and it doesn't look good. Not surprisingly, it's nowhere on CHR/Pop.
Even on AC, it's stalling at #10.

Yeah, I was surprised it was being released when I first heard because of how soft it was. Then it got me thinking, would any of the other tracks do well if released? A lot of them are fairly well known covers but of older songs and radio doesn't play a lot of old music. 'You're So Vain' or 'Love Is A Battlefield' probably has the best chance. The sticker on the album cover did mention 'Downtown' though.

Hot AC played Feist's "Inside and Out" but then again it might have been because she was up and coming. I really liked that remake as well.
