One thing that always annoyed me about the Junos is how it seems to be more of a popularity contest than anything. And the same can be said for a lot of award shows that specialize in one area. Like the East Coast Music Awards will tbegin to award artists that were successful outside the East Coast of Canada. The Junos do the same. Nelly Furtado was big outside of Canada and she wins the best of awards for all of her nominations. I won't say she was undeserved of them but I find it alittle hard to believe that she was the best in all five, especially considering years past always awards artists that did well internationally that same year. Coincidence?

I don't really have time to watch it tonight, but that's a lot of awards Nelly Furtado won... it would be nice to spread it around a bit so lesser known artists could get their names out there.
I was hoping Stabilo would win Best New Group, but I guess I do like Mobile too. Good for Gordie Sampson. I'm not a huge fan of Tomi Swick, but I'm not a fan of anything in that category anyway.
