Do You Hear Something Country Christmas is now available on iTunes. And get this... all tracks are available for individual download EXCEPT Carrie's "Do You Hear What I Hear." For that, you have to buy the whole album. BOOOO!!!! How much does that suck? dang! why? The only song people want is carries! I guess iTunes knows what it's doing, but my reaction to this was, CRAP! >:(

LOL! She actually did it and he actually taped it. I thought she would get away with not doing it. I guess that candy from the stranger had some powerful stuff. "Hey little girl, want some candy?"

Carrie's album sold more in its 2nd week than Rascal Flatts did in their 2nd week (using HITS numbers), so that shows you it didn't do terribly.

Honesty, I don't like that outfit. and I don't like other oufits what she wears these days. I think she needs to change her stylist.

desi-- what are the BMI awards? Is it for songwriters? I get confused as they have the ASCAP awards too.....
I usually hate fishnet stockings and ruffles--- don't get me wrong. But on carrie, somehow it works. :) I hate when britney wears them though...lol

I got a perfect score on the People quiz. Yay! BMI and ASCAP are both performing rights organizations, so they have their respective awards cermonies. Carrie as a songwriter (and her Carrie Okie Music) is affiliated with BMI. Read more about how it works here. Although you really should know this, Tee! IP law? I don't blame you though, it's not my expertise either :)

'People' Magazine's Country Music Special Issue This entry was posted on 11/6/2007 4:39 PM and is filed under uncategorized.
At Home With Country’s Biggest Stars Including Brad Paisley, Martina McBride & Sara Evans Plus: Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, Reba McEntire & More
(New York) – Just in time for the Country Music Awards this week, PEOPLE publishes its Country Music Special Issue, a newsstand-only edition dedicated entirely to the country music scene. The issue features country’s biggest stars including Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson and Taylor Swift among others, and goes inside the homes of other country A-listers for an exclusive peek at their private retreats and family traditions.
Singer Brad Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley are on the cover of the issue and invite readers inside their dream house, a 6,500-sq.-ft. log cabin home on their 87-acre estate in Franklin, Tenn. “This house with the smell of pancakes, bacon, coffee and a fire in the fireplace, it’s the best thing in the world,” says Kimberly. The couple also shares exclusive first photos of their 8-month-old baby, William Huckleberry Paisley. Huck, as the couple calls him, was born on Feb. 22 and is named for Mark Twain’s character (“a free thinker,” Brad notes). Before Huck arrived, “I thought, ‘I’m a free spirit – how am I going to give that up?’” says Brad. He confided in his preacher, who told him, “You won’t even remember what you gave up – it will be that inconsequential.” Says Brad: “He’s right. The first time you come home and your son sees you and laughs, you forget.”
PEOPLE also visits the homes of Sara Evans, Taylor Swift, Gretchen Wilson and others for an intimate look at the rooms they love most. Plus, Martina McBride gives readers a tour of her kitchen and shares recipes for her personal culinary creations. “By taking time to make a meal or throw a party, it is a gift you give to the people you care about,” says McBride.
Carrie Underwood has gone from farm girl to red carpet superstar and speaks with PEOPLE about her evolving look. The songstress also shares her seven style secrets. Tip #1? Hire a stylist! “It’s a girls dream, having people who want to make you look great. I’ve gotten more confident, being able to wear beautiful clothes,” Underwood tells PEOPLE.
Plus, PEOPLE goes to Tennessee for an American Idol “down home” reunion to catch up with 11 contestants who live in Nashville. PEOPLE speaks with Kellie Pickler, Bo Bice, Bucky Covington, Carmen Rasmusen, Josh Gracin and others, and finds out what they’re up to now. Which Idol contestants are in Mandisa’s circle? “I love everybody, but I’m close to my girls [Pickler and Melinda Doolittle],” says the singer. “I have their names programmed into my TiVo, so it automatically records them and I get to see them!”
Also in this issue: how do your favorite country stars like to get around town? In a special “Star Rides” section, musicians such as Dierks Bentley, Rodney Atkins and Little Big Town show off their favorite modes of transportation. John Rich (Big & Rich) makes no apologies for the Bentley he drives and tells PEOPLE, “I know it’s an extravagant thing, but if you’re working damn hard, it’s okay to go off the charts once in a while.”

Question: If The Eagles' album was counted by Billboard, would that mean they'd knock Carrie out of the top of the Country Albums Chart?? if so, YAY, GO BRITNEY!! Accrording to the just-released Billboard article, the Eagles' album will indeed knock Carrie out of the top spot on the Top Country Albums chart. Excerpt:

^ that is good--- actually. The Eagles deserve to be number 1. Even though it means carrie won't be number 1 this week- if she is going to be knocked out by anyone, let it be the eagles. :)

^ I think it is revamped- as they added the title of carnival ride to it somewhere in the questions so that is new. But I think some questions are repeats....lol

(sigh) I kinda feel the same way about Jessica but to be fair she's friends with Willie Nelson. He's being honored by BMI.

The invasion? Seriously T, Carrie has NOTHING to worry about so PLEASE don't start panicking. I was kidding around. The word invasion was taken from an article or blog I read on cmt or something-- about country music being invaded by jewel and jessica simpson. I think jewel was always kind of country though- or folk. Anyway I am not worried at all! I just don't think she is very country sounding when she sings. I think she has a decent/ok voice actually, but I just don't think of her as country. It is hard to get past that....honestly.... especially after the kennedy center fiasco. But I don't really have anything against jessica personally. I just see her as a pop singer so this is odd.

I loved willie nelson as Uncle Jessie! HE was the only saving part of the whole movie. Bo and luke were a dissapointment.

Will Carrie win at the CMAs?Country awards showdownThe media is predicting wins for Carrie while I, on the other hand, can relate with lullaby in thinking that it's very possible for Carrie to get shut out this year. I really, really, really hope I'm wrong and the past few days have made me re-evaluate my hunch a bit. It's not a doom-and-gloom thing for me though if it does happen. Apparently, it's not doom-and-gloom for Carrie too as she's also mentioned a possible shut-out (which interview was that? It was before the listening party stints.) and saying that whatever happens, it's still gonna be a great night. She was in high spirits during the candy interview so looks like she means it. Good for her! Here's to hoping that by saying it out loud, I stopped it from happening :)
