They're back with their third album, YESSSSSS!!!! This came out of nowhere, I'm ecstatic, I love them!
Their latest album Discosis was released in the Summer of 2001. For those who don't know the band, here's the video to their only hit "Drinking In L.A.":

Wait is over for Bran Van 3000's new album as 'Rose' hits stores

MONTREAL - After a six-year hiatus, Bran Van 3000 decided to get together and see if they still had fun making music together. They did.
"Rose," which went on sale Tuesday, is a musical collage. The 21 tracks feature pop, hip-hop, reggae, club, soul and hints of opera and salsa along with a little French flavour that harks back to the band's Quebec roots.
The band first burst onto the scene 10 years ago with "Glee" and followed it up in 2001 with "Discosis" which took their distinctive sound international.
But the collapse of the Grand Royal record label behind "Discosis" resulted in Bran Van 3000 going their separate ways until 18 months ago when frontman James Di Salvio started rounding everyone up again for another go.
"James called us all up and we were all available and willing to get together to see what would come of it," said Sara Johnston, whose smooth vocals grace the album's first cut "Call Me."
"It was just good timing all around so we all got together to see how it would go down and (there was) a lot of chemistry still."
That was echoed by singer Stephane Moraille who described the reunion as an "almost spiritual kindergarten experience."
The album - which is being released by Remstar International - was mostly recorded in Los Angeles and Johnston, who co-produced, said it was a typical Bran Van project.
"Kind of post-, pre-and production all at the same time," she said at the album's launch at a posh Montreal hotel. "You never really know what's going to happen until you hear the record almost."
She describes it as "kind of like a live party album."
"My experience being in Bran Van is sort of like that. You don't know what is going to happen. You're with people that enjoy all different kinds of music and we all get together and see what comes out of it."
Rapper Stephen (Liquid) Hawley is back too. He was enlisted when he ran into Di Salvio on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles and Di Salvio told him to drop by the studio.
"We threw everything into the pot," he said. "We got all kinds of new features on the album, new people that we picked up along the way, Maxamillion and Bless and Fatlip from Pharcyde.
"I think it's just an incredible journey. Everything kind of flows seamless and it really is representative of our city and the international vibe that I feel we share with the world here in the world. I feel very happy with what we've accomplished with this album."
Guitarist Nick Hynes said he thinks he had the most fun of anyone on the project.
"It was a long time since the last recording so it was good to get together," he said.
Asked what the inspiration for the album was, Hynes laughed and said: "The beach."
"I think it's just a matter of getting a whole bunch of people together just to create," he said. "Any opportunity I get to get together with these people and make music, whether it's performing or recording, I jump on it.
"The inspiration came from all over the place. Don't forget, we're a little older now too so we pulled experience from our lives and from other projects that we do and we all just bring it together in a nice way."
The band members say there's plenty of material left over too so that may bode well for yet another album.
"We have to pick and choose," said Moraille. "That's what happens when a lot of people who have a lot to say get together. You get a lot of material to pick from."
