On May 16th, I'm going to make a zip file of all the songs and the cover and stuff (if you wanna print it off ;) ) and if anyone wants it, I'll send it to them. I'm not actually selling this CD in stores or anything. Maybe itunes. LOL! I should look into seeing if I can put it on itunes. You can hear the first single 'Evolve' on MySpace @ www.myspace.com/mbmbmb as well as samples from other songs from the CD and a few older tracks.
Comments, questions? I'd like to know what you people think.

I think it's super rad when people record albums by themselves, without help. I've recorded in the past. I might start up again sometime, but I took a hiatus from it...I just found karaoke versions of songs and covered them. I can't play instruments =/ I was gonna have this one guy play piano for me (him & I used to be friends) but things happened., and it didn't work out. So yeah. Good luck with it

Thanks! :) I can't really play an instrument either. I just do what I can.
The entire album can be downloaded, complete with liner notes that I included, from my website @ www.themaxonline.net/music/mb-onewayundone.zip
It's about 47MB (lol!) in size. If anyone downloads it and listens to it, tell me what you think.

It sounds like you spent a lot of time with this. :) You're voice could use a bit of "tuning up", but it isnt bad =D It seems like you can carry a tune and your voice is right for the piano melodies used on the album.
You are a great songwriter though (assuming from the pics you wrote them by yourself...I am a songwriter too, so that's cool!) You should really loo into doing the songwriting thing...you are really good at it. Kudos!
The pianos on it are fairly nice as well.
Good job with this! It's pretty cool! You got me into wanting to record again, so I think I'll start doing that, and hopefully I will have some songs all done in the next few months.

Thanks! :)
You might be the first person to give a positive comment on my singing. LOL! I know from my last songs (that I recorded in 2002), my singing wasn't very good on them and I really can see that now when I listen back so I do like to think that I've improved on these new songs but even now I can pick out a few things that I'd like to fix. I never took any sort of singing lessons though but I'd like to eventually work on my singing if I ever decided to go at this at any serious level. I'm not sure what you mean by tuning up. If you mean what I use to record my singing or my actual singing. I use a really cheap mic. LOL. I don't know exactly what kind of mic would work well with recording into my computer. ;)
I started recording this album last October. Aside from 'Inside;Outside', which I wrote and recorded in the summer of 2004, and 'Pictures To Remember' I made the music to around that time as well, everything else was recorded from October 2005 to March 2006. It wasn't constant. Basically a day here or there. Whenever my roommates were out of the house. Nobody I know actually knows about these songs. LOL
I like to think I'm a good songwriter too. Without being too ego-headed but also without being modest, I do think it's my strongest point. I'm proud of the songs on this album most of all, especially 'Evolve'. Honestly, I'd like to find some random indie collections CD where people can submit their songs to be considered for compilations or something. I don't know if such a thing exists but I'd like to get some songs out there in one way or another. If given the opportunity, I'd like to persue the stuff further.
Looking forward to hearing your stuff too! :)

Yeah...I've gotten a few good comments on my singing, but not much. But the only opinion that matters is your own, and you just gotta take the good ones and appreciate them, and ignore the bad ones. I have a strong voice, but I have a really deep voice for someone who is 13, and still in 'that period of my lifetime' (even thoughI started early *cough cough*) so that kinda has an effect on how good I sound I suppose. Haha....no one but my brother and my friend Charity knows I have recorded lol. I meant 'tuning up' by singing lessons (which I should take some myself, so don't get mad xD) I use a really cheap mic too...one of the $10 Wal-Mart ones...haha. I edit it with Audacity and Wavepad and AV Music Morpher Gold. All 100% free, of course ;) I started recording late last year. God were those songs awful xD I'll add you on my myspace I have for bands I'll let you know when I get some stuff done....like you, I only record when I'm alone. Or when my little sister is the only other one home, because she doesn't care xD

I'm looking forward to hearing what you come up with!
When did you start writing? I forget when I did. I say 12 is when I wrote my first "real" song but I was definately writing before that.

I think this MB album is great! I'm impressed. There's something about each song that impresses me. Your lyrics are borderline genius. Certain lyrics always make me go "WOW, that's good" so I need to rewind and listen again. I'm not one to pay attention to lyrics, but when I listen to MB, I hear the lyrics and I can relate to some of it.
