I love that picture. Rolling Stone posted a bigger version of that. There's blood on her leg. I expect this new music to be a little darker than her two previous albums. Exciting!

According to the Billboard.com article about this album, The Beekeeper sold 287,000 copies in the U.S. Look's like her days of gold and platinum records are over.

I just think that album was very poorly received, critically and commercially. Based on tidbits and insider info, it seems like she is going in a completely different direction with this album this time around. I think it is quite obvious from that picture alone that she is going no where near the image of The Beekeeper.

This is exciting because it looks like Tori The Warrior Woman is back!!! Sheβs said that in recent years (since the birth of her daughter) sheβs curbed allot of what she wanted to say about the religious right and the general climate in the US (in order to protect her family)β¦but looks like this time around she being confrontational, which I love! I expect great things from this discβ¦but I loved The Beekeeper too!!! It doesnβt get better that βCar and Guitarsβ or βMarthaβs Foolish Gingerββ¦.

^^I think it gets A LOT better than Cars and Guitars and Martha's Foolish Ginger. I don't hate the Beekeeper like a lot of her fans seem to, but I definitely realize she is capable of better. Put a song like Cars and Guitars next to a song like Caught a Lite Sneeze? Or Northern Lad? Yeah, it's pretty obvious she changed her direction in the last few years.

I'm looking forward to it. I caught on to Tori quite late. I love some of her songs but for the most part I only know her last two studio CDs 'Scarlet's Walk' and 'The Beekeeper'. I found both to be alright but not exceptional as they both seem to go on a bit long for me. I'd like to see it be a bit darker though. I'll be keeping an ear and an eye open.

I love the imagery she's presenting here. It's Carrie as seen by LaChappelle.
Tori is such a sucker for the visual possibilities of menstruation.

You really should check out her older albums, namely From The Choirgirl Hotel. That is pretty dark, actually, and it is a LOT shorter!

I'm listening to "Little Eartthquakes" as I write this lol. I must say, judging by that incredible image, this project seems to be very promising. There is no way I won't be picking this up.

That would make for a pretty bad-ass album cover. I'm curious about this, I like her. She's veeeeeeery talented.

Two new Tori songs have been played on promosquad!
They are extremely different for her, a sound we haven't heard her try yet. It's very melodic-pop, heavy guitars, synths, the works! I love what I've heard. Both songs are pretty accessible, so I imagine she will (like usual) save the more experimental stuff for the album.

I'm so getting this, she's one of my favorite female artists EVER!
The style of the tracklisting remids me of BFP, which is my favorite Tori album, so I'm even more excited with her bringing back the harpsichord.

Well, that tracklist is legit! There is a mini-review of the album floating around and it sounds like it could be her best in a long time.
