Early 08 seems more likey. I don't think early 08 is the date. She's written the siongs, there are already talks of collaborations etc... COAD was recorded in a month or so, I don't think it makes sense to wait more than a year from teh birth of the album to its publication. A few months are what it usually takes. Late spring (may to march) is what I would expect.

Who are some of the collaborations with? I haven't heard anything. There had been some talk of Lenny Kravitz doing something new with Madonna. And she reportedly expressed interest about doing tracks with Israeli remixer/DJ/producer Offer Nissim.

And where exactly did you hear she's gonna work with Offer Nissim. I highly doubt that is true. But it's very much like her to pick relatively unknown producers and work with them. Nissim's music is absolutely amazing and they would for sure make a kick-ass album together like she did with Stuart Price.

"Jump" already has been released. :)
If anything, maybe another single for the clubs, but that's about it, I'd think.

Spring?...this spring???....NO WAY!...IT WILL NOT HAPPEN...this woman is not ready to release a new project after she just when thru a major project...expect nothin new for a while. It would be TOO late to wait 3 years... remember COAD is no longer fresh. The healthy space between albums is 2 years, after that you lose fans. (See AL, after 3 years ...). Madonna's 'normal' span is evry other year. She should keep it so. Autum 2007 would be the LATEST reasonable time, but I think it'll be out in late spring because, as I said, the songs are written, collaborations (true or false) have been mentioned, she herself has mentioned the album. It all strikes me as the typical few-months-before campaign... AL took ages to finish, still, the news of the new album came oyut just a few months before its release. It's no different with this. all the collaborations rumours are typical ways of building momentum. I can't see it coming out in a year, let alone almost 2. It's got to be a few months. Therre is a window of 3/4 months in Spring which is good for Madonna (Winter sales after Xms/New year are low, and that's not a good market for established artists, nor is summer, which is flooded with newcomers). That wilol be the time. April is her favourite month by teh way. Also, she's a Kabbalist- she should have noticed by now that her good cycle is every 2 years (aTB folowe LaV by two years- and was delayed- that was the start... LaP was two years later, Vogue followed two years later. Music followed RoL by 2 years, while when she went to a 3 year span- BS, AL, she was less lucky...)

Someone who knows Peter Rauhofer and all the happenings in the circuit world. They said something about how Madonna had expressed interest, but Peter apparently would not allow her to meet him or get in touch with Offer. Maybe he was afraid that she may prefer Offer over him. I don't see it really happening in terms of an album. But I definitely see more remixes (unofficial and perhaps official) coming from Offer of Madonna songs. In addition to the monumental mix he did of "Isaac", he also did "Jump."

Offer - Madge would be like a dream come true for me! The guy is a genius when it comes to sounds and mixing and I am sure Madonna knows that by now!

Offer has been reportedly working on a hip hop/R&B album with that singer Maya he has featured on all his tracks.

Hot! Maya has such a unique and sexy voice! I have a feeling that Missim has the talent to try different things than dance/club music. His background and all those middle eastern sounds and beats he is using in his mixes are totally stuff they mix in POP/Hip-Hop songs these days. Looking forward to this new project for sure!
*Madonna should try to reach him again! :)

He has been on the Israeli circuit and club scene since the late 80's/early 90's. He did a lot of stuff in the early to mid 90's with Dana International. It's a lot of dance-pop stuff. And some great ballads.

The songs he did with Maya (especially Perfect Love, Boyfriend, and Alone) are great. I can totally see Madonna doing that stuff, in her own unique style of course.

I used to have this track but ive lost it now "Erotica" contained a sample from "Jungle Boogie" by Kool & The Gang (the horns). And the beats from "Justify My Love" were similar to this song by Public Enemy. But the one thing they share in common is that "middle eastern soprano vocal sample". For JFL, it's in the "The Beast Within" track which is the alternate remix. That Middle Eastern sample comes from this song by Fairuz called "El Yom Olliqa." As for carbon copies of "Justify My Love", rapper Jay-Z did a track a few years ago called "Justify My Thug."

It had this very 80s single beat and the girl singing. Sounded jus like justify my love... the song was called 'love' something or something 'love'

New Album, New Sound.
Upcoming Projects [Read It First Here] New Album, New Sound. There was a brief comment from Stuart Price on the U.S. television station E! in their weekly news segment. He stated that he is working with Madonna on a new record for the new year and that it is going to be quite a work of art, that they are building the sound on dance, R&B, and a some Rock n Roll, a totally new sound from their previous collaborations and that they were very excited to finish. He also said she has collaborated with some top producers that are in fashion right now.

That album news just put the idea of Madonna and Timbaland working together. Wouldn't that be interesting?
I know everyone is tired of Tim - but I think it still would be VERY interesting.
