We have news for a new album from the Queen herself so for those who are ready to complain about this new thread ... "I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know ..." Madonna recently talked to Sky News about her future music plans: 'I basically see no limits to what you can achieve. Why would I not want to make more music? I love it and so do my fans. I have more club music in mind. It's where I started and funnily enough, it's now huge again. I'm writing the new album now, while we're on tour.' (www.madonnalicious.com) What you guys want to hear from "the next" Madonna?

I really don't want more club music from Madonna. I want ballads like "You'll See" or "Take A Bow." They are beautiful.
Although I obviously have nothing against anything she really did from COADF, I would like to hear LESS dance music and more slow-pop music.

Pump up the electronica to the max, baby.
I'd like to see her get really experimental & not worry about accessibility at all.
In my opinion, her greatest risks usually reap impressive awards.
I can almost see her doing something like Primal Scream's XTRMNTR. I'd love to see a female's adaptation of that source of material. She's a huge fan of so many groundbreaking, "fringe" artists. I'd like to see her incorporate more of their esoteric styles into her body of work. She could totally pull it off.
Indietronica all the way!

oh yeah another electronic thing! Confessions On A Dancefloor is her best album to date! really it's so huge! It's the only album with "I'm Not Dead" that I can currently listen to without havin to go over a track

It's a bit soon. But since she's announcing it now, it'll probably another good 6 to 8 months before the first single comes out. She announced she was doing a dance album (COADF) last year in May when she was on The View and the first single didn't come out until about 5 months later.
But I really liked the direction she went in on COADF. I'd like her to be a little more experimental a la the Ray Of Light album on the new one.
I'd like a collaboration or two. It would be cool to hear her do something with Goldfrapp. Even if it is just a production and not a duet. And something with the Pet Shop Boys. They would so work well together.

I think it's obvious that Lenny Kravitz is gonna do something on this record. I mean, he's attented the concert multiple times already, and he just performed with her the other night on ILNY.
Other than "Justify My Love," are there any other studio recorded songs they did together?

A Goldfrapp/Madonna collab. would be incredible. They admire each other considerably, and given that Alison is extremely open to involvement with so many diverse acts, I can't see why it WOULDN'T happen. P.S. Goldfrapp should have landed the Bond gig.

Many fans think the new album will be out next year in 2007.
In 2008, the 25th anniversary of her first album, a new compilation/GH/box set will be released.

I have to agree with Where Life Begins - Madonna may not have the best voice, but her ballads are great. Actually I prefer her ballads to the uptempo stuff (I'm probably in the minority there). Her emotion on songs like Crazy For You, Live To Tell, Oh Father, Take A Bow, You'll See, I'll Remember, Power Of Goodbye, What It Feels Like For A Girl, Nothing Fails, etc. is so great. BRING BACK PATRICK LEONARD!

Actually, I think I remember Allison Goldfrapp knocking Madonna in a recent interview... don't know if she'd really be open to working with her or not.

Alison is like my idol & I know she comes across as b**chy sometimes, and she actually has said some conflicting things on Madge. 1.) She thinks she relies too much on outside producers, and isn't that creative. 2.) She admires her immensely for her endurance and finds her personality fascinating. 3.) They were supposed to collaborate once before, but Ali pulled out because she felt she would look stupid & sluggish onstage next to Madonna!
Also, I found this quote:
GOLDFRAPP DEFENDS MADONNA
ALISON GOLDFRAPP has lashed out at her fans for dubbing her idol MADONNA, 'Oldfrapp'.
The NUMBER ONE hitmaker was thrilled when the 47-year-old superstar named the second Goldfrapp album SUPERNATURE as her favourite disc of 2005, but her delight quickly turned sour when fans pilloried the ageing singer.
She says, "It's nasty and unfair. It's great to see a woman of her age still performing and producing such fantastic work."
Of the queen of pop's comments, Goldfrapp says, "I take that as a real compliment."
Anyway, I don't think it's out of the question.
We can't dream, can't we? <3

The SunLenny is Madge's must-KravSeptember 05, 2006 MADONNA is planning a studio collaboration with LENNY KRAVITZ — after he joined her live on stage. Now that really will be a titanic clash of the perfectionists. Lenny appeared with Madonna in Paris at the weekend on her Confessions world tour. They did a version of I Love New York — with Lenny adding a scorching guitar solo while Madonna pulled appropriate grimaces. The pair got on so well they have pencilled in time later this year to go into the studio together to record some material. I pity the studio staff. You wouldn’t want to do or say anything wrong with those two formidable characters in charge.

Pat Leonard would be a tremendous thing, but I woudln't expect a return just yet. What William Orbit and M did on ROL was fantasirc, and more collabos in the futur wouldn't be bad, either.
Not sure what to expect from an M-Lenny Kravitz collabo.

Sorry but I think Madonna as an indie artist should sort of end around now - And if you don't know what I mean, forget it, but I feel perhaps since Erotica Madonna hasnt really approached mainstream at all from mainstream, lol. Anyway, something like the I Love New York Rock Version and Spanish Eyes mixed with Let It Will Be would be awesome.

Isn't it too early for a new Madonna thread? She's still going to release Jump. COADF is not dead yet.

Lenny is Corporate Rock, and M is just bad pop w/ a disco spin. Lenny has already done his fair share to pop on Rock, and Madonna on Pop. Why now do you want them to mess up a whole other genre. Let's keep the poop self contained.

There are news for a new album so why not fans express their thoughts about it while still enjoy 'Confessions' worldwide success!? :) Madge better come back with a new album next year. We can't get enough of her!
