I gave this album another chance and it really grew on me. She definitely has some radio-friendly material on here; her label just needs to kick it into gear and actually get her out there!

Does anybody else love "Spring Street". It's one of my very favorites. Absolutely, I was hoping for it to be the 2nd single, but looks like things should be good with "Hands on Me."

This is for you, Break Anotha!
36. Vanessa Carlton – Heroes and Thieves Ay yo, this is V-nasty and fools like me bust a cap in errant lovers, plus I’m vicious on the keys…what, what? Murder Inc, biotch! Thankfully, this is not the route that Vanessa Carlton decided to take when she teamed up with The Inc. (formerly Murder Inc., home to Ja Rule, Lloyd and Ashanti.) Fortunately, label head Irv Gotti liked the piano-playing ingénue just the way she was and had no plans on tinkering with the formula for her third album. Her first album since split with longtime boyfriend and sometimes collaborator Stephan Jenkins highlights Vanessa’s growth as a lyricist, vocalist and, in album highlight “Home,” as a piano virtuoso. Lead single “Nolita Fairytale” paints a vivid picture of what her life is like now, years after the musical breakthrough of her first album, while the beautiful “My Best” is an extremely touching (and mature) way of handling a difficult breakup. Throughout this album, Carlton’s personal and professional best, she is aided by lush production and even a background vocal from her hero and mentor Stevie Nicks. In these times of popstar meltdowns, celebutantes flashing their kittens and Pro-tooled pap, it’s refreshing to see a true artist continue to deliver consistent material and show the world that, despite the shady machinations of the recording industry, true talent always perseveres. Tracks Worth Checking Out: Nolita Fairytale, My Best, The One, Heroes and Thieves, Home, More Than This

Her face looks weird on that picture - she looks like Jelena Jankovic.

I found this article about serena williams and her playlists...
The Nike Sport Music series, which has recently released a running mix tape/coaching CD by Lance Armstrong, have tapped Serena Williams for their latest project.
Serena's custom-made workouts are designed to improve speed, build stamina, and give you a boost when needed. The first workout is a 30-minute interval run set to a series of high-octane hits by Timbaland, Nicole Scherzinger, Fergie, Daddy Yankee and other Interscope Records artists. While you listen to the music, Serena sets the pace and offer tips and encouragement to help you complete your run.
Her Spontaneous Speed Workout consists of a warm-up period, followed by time stretches of fast-paced running, each followed by a chance to recover with help from Serena's favorite music, a mix of Mary J. Blige, Vanessa Carlton, Timbaland, and many more.
You can check out preview mp3s and tracklists below. Both mixes are available on iTunes.
