Is rollercoaster the new single? It's on the urban AC charts now. God I hope not. #Sweatforthenextsingle.

I thoroughly enjoyed her memoirs but I don't care what she says; More Than a Woman was a good album!

^ I enjoyed More Than A Woman very much as well. Rock Me Roll me definitely being the highlight along with Better Man, Lies Lies Lies, Selfish, and Satisfaction.

"Always" brings me joy. At least she was pleased about "Libra" and even thru out the sales! By far my third fav album behind her debut and Secrets.

Any talk about a new solo album from her? She hasn't started recording for a solo album yet. Babyface wants her to do a standards album.

If I could turn back the clock and go back to 2002, I'd do 2 things: Stop Left-Eye from going to Honduras AND Stop Toni from releasing MTAW. Oh wait...I'll also tell my hot teenage self that its all downhill from there onwards.

It was her worst album and her manager (Barry H) and LA Reid wanted her to work with the latest rappers to stay current. Also during that time she alledged Barry was lying to her about Artista wanting to drop her when it wasn't true.

She also reiterated that she fought with the label to get the album pushed back until after she gave birth so she could properly promote it but they wouldn't oblige. I still think she would feel differently about the album if she had gotten what she wanted and that the negativity in the atmosphere at that time is what's somewhat clouding her thoughts on the music. There were some solid R&B records on there; it wasn't entirely a hip-hop fling.

Hit the Freeway was kind of cute but that album mostly sucked. I don't think Libra or Pulse were THAT much better though, it seems like she harbors a lot of resentment for that album since it was her first flop. I think brandy kind of feels similarly about Afrodisiac.

Say what you (or Toni) say MTAW was NOT a bad album. Hell she will performs "Hit The Freeway" in concert! Libra...IMO is her best work since Secrets but I understand others will feel differently. Her only bad album was Pulse.

Yeah, I think her only promotion during that era (due to her pregnancy) was the "Hit the Freeway" video, her guest spot on the Baby's "Baby You Can Do It," and that VH1 special "(Inside)Out":

I thought the memoir was very flat. Specially towards the end Until the middle of it, it was AWESOME read, then as she hit the bankrupcy talk it just seems like she rushed things to just finish it without going too deep on each subject. I was a left a bit 'this is it?'
STILL, the childhood chapters are GOLD. So I give it a B-
I'm happy to know she loves LIBRA still. That album is by far her best and most cohesive body of work since forever In a perfect world she would have released it while being on Island Def Jam and with a proper budget behind. All that era needed was budget to push the singles to radio cause the material was on POINT, she was ON POINT and had she had a tour on her back, she wouldnt have needed to go to FLAMINGO and would be able to tour on her own which again would help her not having those damn 2nd time financial issues
I need her to get back to that material

"Please" is one of my favorite Toni songs. I think it deserved a much higher peak on the chart's than it did. I wish she would record some more upbeat tracks for her cd's.

Been listening to Love, M, D this morning as I bought the album some 4,5 days ago ... It is ok I guess I need to be in the right mood
As for More Than A Woman ... This is the album that I most listen to of all Toni's albums Not to mention that my fav Toni song is there - Hit the Freeway
Hard to rank her albums, but MTAWoman, Libra and Pulse kinda share #1 with me The album I like the least - but I love them all very much - would be The Heat and Secrets

Her only bad album was Pulse. TRULY TERRIBLE! In her defense RnB was not selling in 2010 so she took the pop route. But the album was also a victim of bad management (I mean "Yesterday", a pop ballad, was sent only to UAC). But she is to be blamed for that mess that was "Make My Heart". With that song she fell to an all time low in her career.

More Than A Woman is my least favorite Toni album. I only like 'Hit The Freeway' and 'Me & My Boyfriend' on it.

With that song she fell to an all time low in her career. I think that distinction goes to I Heart You. Never did Toni seem more out of touch or irrelevant as when she released that garbage song.

Hands Tied alone makes Pulse a worthy entry in her catalog.
