Lots of guesses, but only #79,77,76,75,74 (Lovestoned), and 73 are correct. Here are more clues for the rest.
80) I guess everyone missed the clear reference to the band's name in the last clue. If you have your eyes open, you might catch a hint about the album from which this song is in this clue.
78) I doubt this song will be the theme song to Miami Ink...
72) This was the artist's second hit on the pop chart and her highest peaking thus far. For the third single, she took it a little easy.
71) The name of this band is three words squished together and is something you would need if you were underwater for 2 minutes.

I'll go with "Shine On" for #71 then. And I'll go with a "Correct!" 70) CS: An interesting alteration on use of parts of a classic Christian song helped propel this group to achieve the top Christian album downloads in early 2007 on iTunes. The name of the group may make you think they are from Mississippi. 69) This rapper makes it quite simple to explain his premise - he is because he is and you're not because... you're not! ;) Mims - This Is Why I'm Hot TGAC68) Second hit for this female artist on the countdown. The song is about a couple who are trying to call it quits but, well, the benefits might be too good. 67) A very promising message from this AC star artist. Unfortunately, it was his last top 10 hit on AC... well, except for his hit Christmas song this year. Josh Groban - You Are Loved (Don't Give Up) EvanJ66) Think of a line from the chorus of Take A Bow and you'll get the title of this R&B hit by a young R&B star. Chris Brown - Say Goodbye TGAC65) CS: I think these folks are more of the all-nighter crowd - they really don't like waiting until the morning to complete things. 64) This artist had a little tiff with the producer who helped make her last album a mega-hit, and decided to branch off to do something different. Well, it didn't work, and this was the only pop hit from the album with a disappointing peak. Kelly Clarkson - Never Again TGAC63) CS: The second hit by this artist on the countdown. The message of the song has a dual meaning - from a God-centric point of view, it means that whatever happens, God will be on your side. From a human-centric point of view, the artist sings that whatever he can do or can be, he'll do it. Tobymac - I'm For You S4C62) Comeback hit from this popular 90s/early 00s band which featured a black and white video. matchbox twenty - How Far We've Come EvanJ61) Diehard fans of this band have become upset at this band selling out to mainstream radio, especially with this latest hit. Maybe Hilary Duff has something to do with it. Good Charlotte - I Don't Wanna Be In Love (Dance Floor Anthem) TGAC

"When You're Gone" was my guess for #68. I forgot to specify the number before. That's OK. It's a wrong answer anyways. EvanJ got #62 right. Here are add'l clues for the remaining songs. 70) The last clue may have been a little misleading, since the band really only use select phrases and lines from the classic Christian song I mentioned. Well, I hope you'll forgive a wretch like me for that mistake. 68) This was the artist's fourth and final single from her sophomore album. But, she quickly followed it up with a lead single from her third album. 65) This song was already (incorrectly) guessed earlier in the countdown.

I was going to say Chris Tomlin's current one, but that wouldn't make much since since a.) it's, well, current and b.) that's not a band. SO I'm gonna take a random guess and hope I don't sound too much like an idiot...
70. The Almost - Amazing Because It Is
(ehh.. The more I think about it, the more it sounds wrong. Oh well.)

Here's a hint on the artist's name: Think of the capital of Mississippi + the _______ of the Mississippi River.
