16 and 18 are correct, but not 19. You are on the right track, however. I'll just hang on...

I'll go with "Home" (by Daughtry) for #19 then.

I'll go with "Home" (by Daughtry) for #19 then. And I'll go with "no." (Hint: Daughtry was the first non-winner to hit the top 10).

It must be "Wait For You" by Elliott Yamin then.

It must be "Wait For You" by Elliott Yamin then. Hurray! :) Here are some other hints for the remaining two: 20) Batting practice by this artist is done in an unconventional way, perhaps in the driveway? 17) The last clue is supposed to clue you into a transition time everyday - when light starts and darkness ends. These guys seem to think it's pretty important.

^No, 17 is not Skillet (remember, I will put "CS" before a Christian radio song). The song that I AM looking for was the last single sent out by this band from their sophomore album. It went to #1 on my chart at the beginning of 2007.

17. All-American Rejects - It Ends Tonight? That's the song!! (I paraphrased one of the lines from the song in the second clue). Only one more left - #20. No one got the baseball bat connection? Well, that's only one thing that this artist uses on her lover's truck....

Whew, nice work Matt!!! :)
15) This band belongs to the category of "debut single flop/second single SMASH." Gym Class Heroes - Cupid's Chokehold Matt4319
14) The video for this song takes place in a prison, however unusual it is. Gwen Stefani f/ Akon - The Sweet Escape friday
13) I think it's fair to say this artist has gotten over a lot of stuff, including a defeat the year before.
12) Maybe this artist decided to consult Usher for this hit? Pink - U+Ur Hand Matt4319
11) CS: This band reassures the listener that they won't be alone in the morning.

13. Daughty - "It's Not Over"?? (I would've thought Over You would've been right.) 15. Hinder - "Lips of An Angel"?? Or perhaps Better Than Me..?

#12 and #15 are absolutely correct.
Here are add'l clues for the remaining songs:
13) The singer describes a break-up with a longtime lover that was hard at first, but now the singer has dealt with it. 11) There is actually a new thread for this song on a mainstream format topic on this board.

27) This Canadian returned to the AC chart in a big way with this big #1 and longlasting hit there. Michael Bublé - Everything TGAC 26) What's on the right? Beyonce - Irreplaceable TGAC25) The name of this song is the same as a term used for a huge prison break from a Nazi prisoner camp, but trust me, I am sure that the band or most of its fans know that. Boys Like Girls - The Great Escape TGAC22) This artist would tell Rob Thomas it is not a question of "if" but "when." Avril Lavigne - When You're Gone TGAC21) It looks like this artist may be stuck as "one album wonder", at least on pop. The first single from his new album had a quick rise and then a quick fall with nothing else since. However, for my chart, this is one of his highest charting singles. Ne-Yo - Because of You TGACUhhh... WotUNeed got all those, not TGAC. Ugh, sorry WotUNeed. :-\ I clearly was not paying attention. I have corrected the thread above! :)

No one for the other clues? OK, here are some more:
13) This artist has something in common with the artist from #19. 11) This band was already on the countdown but quite a ways back. The name of this song is almost the same as P. Diddy's big pop hit in 2007.

Hurray, #13 and #11 were finally guessed correctly!!!!!!
OK, it's top 10 time. The clues get much harder now. I'll do them two at a time. The point system will be a bit different - 5 points for guessing it on the first clue, 4 for the second, etc. There is also one Christian radio song in the top 10, but I will not identify it as one until the second to last clue. :)
Let's kick off the top 10!!!
10) Sorry Vanna, no extra money for you!
9) This band made the top 50 on pop in early 2007, but it wasn't with this song.

OK, second clue for #9:
9b) The name of the album is close to the opening phrase from a famous 1800s American speech.

Nice work!!!! Here are the next two clues. 8) This artist's first appearance on the countdown, but this song was incorrectly guessed earlier. 7) This band made an appearance on a new teen drama last summer.

OK, second set of clues:
8a) I guess the band is into putting puzzles together - the song mentions putting back together something.
7b) When the band was on the show mentioned earlier, they certainly were dressed fully and in color.
