Here are the next set of clues:
60) This song, starting its run in 2006, hung around the low parts of the pop chart for a month or so and then finally took off - coincidentally when the artist's second single was making it's way up the chart. Akon f/ Eminem - Smack That Slinky
59) This band encourages an opening of doors of sorts to this emotion. Goo Goo Dolls - Let Love In WotUNeed[
58) CS: A Christian rock band with their last single off their junior album. The song's title is the same as part of the title of another song already shown on the countdown. Sanctus Real - Don't Give Up S4C
57) I think she must have won the spelling bee in elementary school or something... Fergie f/ Will.I.Am - Fergalicious TGAC
56) The song originally charted on some radio charts in 2006, but took off on pop in 2007. The song is about a girl's cross-country move. Augustana - Boston Slinky
55) This song was the first #1 of 2007 on my chart - but it started its reign at the end of 2006. The song talks about infidelity among two people - over the phone? Hinder - Lips of An Angel WotUNeed
54) CS: I don't think this male solo artist was talking about overwashing your jeans or t-shirts. The message is much deeper than that. ;) Jeremy Camp - Let It Fade S4C 53) I first heard this song on American Idol last season by a top 10 contestant. The song is by a group that is just starting to get mainstream recognition. Mute Math - Typical S4C
51) There is no doubt this band has become a Hot AC staple. The video for this song features clips of historical feats by some famous, some not-so famous people worldwide. Nickelback - If Everyone Cared Pulse
50) CS: Debut hit by this young Christian CHR star. The song's title is a pronoun. Britt Nicole - You S4C

Ooook
53. Mute Math - Typical 54. Jeremy Camp - Let It Fade 58. Hawk Nelson - Zero
Uuugh. I'll be kind of mad if I missed those last two the first guessing trip around and they end up being right...

3 guesses, 3 "corrects"! :)
Here's a couple of extra hints for the other remaining songs.
60) This song features another rapper who seems to have lost himself when it comes to delivering his own hits.
56) A very important game will be played this weekend near the place mentioned in this song.
55) The sound of this song made me think it was something straight out of the 80s moreso than 2000s, but that didn't hold back this song from reaching #1 on pop in 2006.

Nice work Slinky and WotUneed. Those three answers are all correct.
Onto the top 50! (I made a mistake earlier, so here we will do #53 and then 49-41).
52) This song was a huge hit hit for this artist on pop and also rhythmic radio. Rhythmic radio had a slightly different version of the song, with the featured rapper doing an intro rap as well. Justin Timberlake f/ T.I. - My Love S4C
49) The title of this song is said only once in the song, and it's not in the chorus. Colbie Caillat - Bubbly TGAC
48) This song title was edited for release on radio - the swear word was replaced with an emotion. Akon f/ Snoop Dogg - I Wanna Love You TGAC
47) I'm sorry I can't make this hint harder, but it's all I could come up with creatively. Timbaland & OneRepublic - Apologize rowellfarm
46) CS: First single from this band's newest album. The song encourages us to lift us up from literally nothing to a life that is more promising. Hawk Nelson - Zero S4C
45) CS: This artist was called by some the "Avril Lavigne" of Christian pop radio, but her second album didn't score the same hits as her first one. This song was her last release from that album. Krystal Meyers - Together S4C
44) CS: Christian rap trio with their debut song. The song's chorus really explains the true power of love and all the things it can do. Group 1 Crew - Love Is A Beautiful Thing S4C
43) This Atlanta-raised R&B artist, who was in Ciara's "1,2 Step" video and made it big with a duet with Ashanti, scored this hit on my chart with a song whose title uses a "word"/term that has become quite common in many urban hits. Lloyd - Get It Shawty TGAC
42) Janet Jackson at least used proper grammar in doing her song that has a similar title to this big pop hit. Akon - Don't Matter WotUNeed
41) The only song on my countdown that came from a Disney movie. It's by an artist that has already been on the countdown - in a way. Rob Thomas - Little Wonders S4C

Big pop hit and 'loose' grammar... It has to be:
42) Pink - U + Ur Hand
Though I can't recall any of Janet's songs with a similar name... ???
I take this one back, LOL, WotUNeed got it, I think...

41. Rob Thomas - "Little Wonders"
First-instinct guess...
44. Group 1 Crew - "Love Is A Beautiful Thing" OR "Can't Go On" (I assume the former is their debut, but Wikipedia says otherwise... I also have no clue when it was released.)

#s 41,42,43,44,48, and 49 were guessed correctly.
More clues:
52) I ain't gonna do nothing crazy, like give you a line from the song.
47) There can be a debate on the ordering of the artists on this song.
46) This band ventured into mainstream when they portrayed a famous 60s band on American Dreams.
45) The song encourages us not to venture along alone but instead, band __________.

Finally! Onto the top 40...
40) CS: A song by this Christian rock favorite that also had mainstream (alternative) success with a prior hit. The title of this song is a word used to wish a prosperous journey and success. Anberlin - Godspeed S4C
39) CS: This Christian rock band is more known for their harder hits, but in this one they toned it down a little bit. The song is a reminder that when all is over, God will still love you.
38) What the blind man might have said after Jesus healed him. K.T. Tunstall - Suddenly I See
37) This is one of the few songs in recent pop history that had two adds date and two separate top 50 runs. The second run was far more successful. Pink - Who Knew TGAC 36) I wouldn't mind if she was my secretary either... ;)
35) This young rapper gave a holla back to the pop & urban charts with this song featuring a recent emerging R&B star. Fabolous f/ Ne-Yo - Make Me Better TGAC
34) In my opinion, this is one of the best hits that this artist has ever released. But, because it was not an official single from her newest album and instead from a soundtrack, it suffered promotion and was one of her lowest-peaking singles on pop. Avril Lavigne - Keep Holding On popmusicaddict
33) I think these guys were way too into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as children.
32) When I first heard this song, I was shocked at the sound and the beat - it was awesome and different from the artist's previous hits. But then the video - well, basically a cheap videotaping of someone on a stage - how utterly horrible. Britney Spears - Gimme More TGAC
31) This song barely touched the bottom reaches of the HAC chart, but it did quite well in the UK. The artist shares the same last name as the artist known for hits like Brown Eyed Girl. James Morrison - You Give Me Something TGAC
