I am going to see Dierks Bentley for the first time (cough carriekins cough) at the Iowa State Fair on August 11! Justin Moore is opening...I wish it were someone else but oh well, I think I can endure Justin. Yay!!! I have some friends going to that show. I haven't seen Justin Moore live but I have heard he puts on a good show, so hopefully it won't be too bad for you. I think you'll really enjoy Dierks though! Super high energy fun show. You'll have to let me know what you think. :) I had to take a break from concerts to have my baby but I'm getting back in the swing of things next week: Easton Corbin on Monday and Kacey Musgraves/EYB/Kenny Chesney on Thursday! Yay!

Looking forward to seeing Keith Urban Saturday night at his sold out show in Alpharetta, GA!! I've read some great reviews of his shows so far since his tour started on July 18! First time seeing him perform before a new album is out! :)

^I saw her on the Kenny Chesney tour, she didn't give a whole lot in her live performance, she's a little boring.

Attending the Bangerz tour in Tampa (March 20th) and Brooklyn (April 5th) because I'll be in town for both :) (PS if anyone here is from St. Louis and wants a face value floor seat, I have one that I must unfortunately sell) Governor's Ball Music Festival in NYC June 6-8. Most excited for The Strokes reunion + Disclosure, but there are so many awesome artists on that bill.
Trying to attend a few festivals this summer, specifically Lollapalooza in Chicago but nothing set yet.

^You do know this is the country forum, right? I don't think any of those shows have country artists at them.

I'm stoked to see him in Denver for the third time. Saw him with Miranda Lambert and Tracy Lawrence back in 06.. still to this day my favorite show i've been to other than CMA fests. Also saw him at another country festival in Sask around 09/10. Enjoy it!! :)

Going to see Thomas Rhett/Jon Pardi on Thurs and Charlie Worsham on Sat this week

Just got home from the Randy Houser show. AMAZING vocalist. Did a great variety of his older albums and quite a few off the new album. I was told that Randy doesn't allow the guys to give out setlist but I will try to piece it together tomorrow and edit this post.
If you get a chance, go see him.
He did mention that Like A Cowboy will be the next single.

This article hints about Eric Church's upcoming US Tour. He basically says the has the opening act confirmed and it's "going to blow people's minds". This has me very intrigued! Seems like it would have to be someone maybe outside of or on the fringe of the genre to induce the blowing of minds. Any guesses??? Maybe someone who has been dormant for a while and is making an attempt at a comeback?? Maybe carriekins knows!!! www.thecountryvibe.com/blog/eric-church-hints-future-tour-plans-will-blow-peoples-minds/Of course, I would love it if Casey James was the opener to the opening act! ;) On a side note, I have seen Eric Church in concert twice. Once at his headlining tour at Red Rocks where he blew my mind. I've seen over 50 concerts there and EC is my #2 favorite one. No one can top the soaring voice of Brandi Carlile at Red Rocks (she is a must see). Then I saw him last summer at Invesco Field (Mile High Stadium) opening for Kenny Chesney. I will begin by stating that I am not a KC fan except for just a couple of songs (El Cerrito Place comes to mind-not that it is HIS song, but he did record it and release it as a single)..... but IMHO Eric Church BLEW Kenny Chesney out of the water. His artistry is just amazing and he exudes this kind of coolness a lot of people could not pull off without coming across as cocky. He's among my top 3 favorite artists right now.

I'm seeing Charlie Worsham this Saturday and Gloriana on the 29th. Does anyone know what time Charlie (or his opening act) normally go on? I have a wedding that day and don't want to miss him. Priorities, you know?

Priorities, you know? A lot of time it depends on the venue... a "normal" venue will usually start between 7:30 and 8, but when Charlie was here last month, he went on at 11 pm - which is the normal start time for that venue and entirely why I didn't go to the show. Hope it works out for ya!

My only concert (so far) this year is Trisha Yearwood on April 12th. This'll be my second time seeing her. I first saw her in 2005. At the time, "Trying To Love You" had just been released as a single. I'm really looking forward to seeing the 'Just Because' tour!

I'm going to Justin Moore/Josh Thompson/Randy Houser at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo tomorrow (3/14). Sort of a belated birthday gift for me (My birthday was 3/10), and compensation for the fact that the Mavericks in Royal Oak on the 8th were sold out.

I know this is the upcoming concerts thread, but I did see Craig Morgan, Parmalee, and Cassadee Pope tonight in an acoustic show at UB (University at Buffalo). Too bad it had to be like 7 degrees outside so Parmalee and Cassadee's stereotypes were met ;). Craig has been here before in the summer, so he knows how beautiful it can be. Tomorrow it's going to be 50 degrees. Too bad they couldn't wait one more day.
Anyway I thought that Parmalee was very good and that Cassadee's voice sounded very strong, which I expected. Craig to me, though I've always thought his voice falls in the decent category, showed great passion singing and personality in between songs. I thought at times he was straining a bit, but overall he sounded good. I do think songs like "Almost Home", and "That's What I Love About Sunday" is where his country voice sounds the best, rather than "Bonfire" and "Wake Up Loving You". I really enjoy going to these acoustic shows though, and encourage anybody to go if they get chances to.

I'm going to see Florida Georgia Line, Nelly, Chris Lane, and Clare Dunn in June. Should be interesting with the country guys mixed with a rap guy.
