This was the senior prom song at my school. You know something, this does make an excellent choice for a prom song. The lyrics fit the mood and the setting perfectly.[/font]

If this song maintains its slow losses it may actually move up next week!

If this song maintains its slow losses it may actually move up next week! I think it's likely. The other bulletless songs ahead of it are pretty seasonal and will likely fall fast now that summer is officially over. Lifehouse has to stick around in the Top 10 til the next token HAC ballads get there(Green Day and Nickelback). My guess is this could be as high as #3 this week.

This song reminds me a lot of how "Unwell" did, it slowly moved up through the chart and it was a real surprise to see it make the top 10.

This is now at #4 with the second biggest audience and it has almost regained its bullet .

This song has a chance to make it to #2 next week :o That is if Weezer doesn't make it first.

On the US Music Survey, Mark Wallengren mentioned Jude Cole co-wrote "You And Me."

I guess this is "new music" to KCHZ in Kansas City They announced on the radio "coming up new music from Lifehouse." This doesn't surprise me though, they take months to add Hot AC songs, and they were one of the only two stations that never added "Unwell." The dj was like "wow, it's good to see Lifehouse back again, it's hard to believe that it's been like what 6 years since their first song." I couldn't help but roll my eyes, that was the only time I've ever turned off "You and Me."

Daaaamnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
And to think this has been lurking around in the 50-70's for a while before it bolted into the top 50.

Does anyone else think this could make Top 3? :o It is quite possible that this week's Top 3 on Sunday will be 1- Mariah Carey 2- Weezer 3- Lifehouse ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? This is great, but these three songs are definitely songs I wouldn't even expect to hit top 10, maybe even top 15. Mariah Carey, yeah, she was in good hands with the success of her last single, but Weezer at #2? I'll discuss that on their thread, however, Lifehouse at #3? I believe they have only had two songs in the Top 30, Hanging By A Moment and Spin, and one other song to hit Top 40, Breathing. I really liked a lot of songs off of No Name Face such as Somewhere In Between, Everything, and Sick Cycle Carousel, as well as Stanley Climbfall's, Take Me Away, which I feel are ALL better singles than You and Me. Either way, good for Lifehouse. It's a blessing that You and Me is doing well and has a GREAT chance at being Top 3. However, the way it looks, the Top 20 is going to look completely different in a matter of six weeks, when summer songs are cleaned out. In conclusion, yes, I believe this will be 3 at the end of the week with the way songs are dropping in the Top 5.

How long has this officially been on the chart? Yeah, I also remember this song spending many weeks in the 60's, all together I think this song has been in the top 70 since March. If "Shake It Off" could make #1 on the success of "We Belong Together," then "Blind" should at least make the top 20 on the success of "You and Me."

Well, at least it's #2 in audience if that means anything to anyone, but isn't 51.816 pretty low for a top 4 song?

It's at #5 with hopes that DHT will fall past them and make them #4 again this week, damn it. I'd be so pleased with the radio if they were #1, even if it were for one week. I'm still holding faith, their loss is 171, and it was higher before, then came the bullet, now this. I believe! Haha..

Now that this is about to go recurrent it's fun reading this thread . First nobody thought it'd do anything then it suddenly broke into the top40 of the hot100 , then it had a really slow climb on the Pop chart . By july it had reached the Top10 and people were hoping for it to go on to #1 . It didn't but it's still on the chart three months after peaking.

I'm glad I was wrong. I read my first comment on this thread and I at least stated that I liked it. Some people change their minds about some songs after hearing it for a while but I liked it when I first heard it.

Too bad the song couldn't hold on for a little longer than it did. That way, it would have broken the record for the longest running song of the 21st century so far. That would have been cool, since they would have broken their own record (I believe "Hanging By A Moment" spent 37 weeks on the chart, is that correct?)

How many weeks total for this song? Did it beat "Scars?"

It spent 36 weeks on the chart. I think "Scars" was on the chart for 35 weeks.

Still...to go 36 weeks puts it at runner-up, which is also cool. EDIT: Scars and this are tied. That also spent 36 weeks on.

With a lot of year-end countdowns in the next few days, not to mention the ones on AT40 and Rick Dees, a top 20 showing for "You And Me" on the first chart of 2005 isn't totally out of the question.
