I can't believe my first comment was such a negative one. Much better liking of the song now. :) I'm glad it was released - I even like it more than Like It's A Bad Thing now.

Extremely pleased to see how well this song is doing so far. I heard it for the first time on the radio the other day. Such a good song, sounds great on radio.

This has grown on me a lot too. I initially didn't think this was the best choice, but I've been proven wrong. This should be another big hit for Gary.

Yeah. This is really doing good for Gary. Maybe a number 1!

I just had a thought about Gary Allan's music: The only thing that could make it better, in my opinion, is if he and his producer weren't so afraid of the guitar and the rhythm section. Let all the instruments ring out nice and loud, don't compress them as much.

I am loving the success of this single too. Gary is way way underrated and deserves some #1 songs and more recognition. He's fantastic!

I think this one has a shot at reaching #1. It's climbing faster than his usual song, plus the timing looks pretty good. It's not the single I was hoping for, but it sounds good on the radio and it stands out musically, with its unusual strings. So let's see how high it can get. Top 5 looks safe. After that, well, we'll just have to see how it plays out.

This will never be a favorite, but it has grown on me quite a bit. I hope he steps back and strips down his next record a bit though. He seems to be fighting to get his voice above pretty much all the music on this entire record.

I would like to hear a more country Gary - the Gary who made the album "Smoke Rings In The Dark".

I agree about the overproduction. Gary's one of the best out there, but I never seem to listen to this album. I'm still hoping for a release of Half of My Mistakes after this one runs its course.
Even so, Gary's so much better than most other singers in his ability to put a song across, and I can't help rooting for him to chart well even when it's one of his lesser efforts.

Well, it may be overproduced but at least so far he's having better success with this CD than some of the others. I am hoping Like it's a Bad Thing will be released next, followed by the awesome Half of my Mistakes :)

Country Gary... the one who could sing circles around everyone out there and seemed proud to be the artist with one foot in traditional country and the other in new country. Seems we've lost him...

I don't like his current album much, but in Gary's case I'm willing to put up with an album I don't like. He's a terrific artist and I figure he is following his own path. I'll just hope he changes direction again next time.

I thought I read something about how he didn't want to change, but this album has a more "radio friendly, somewhat different sound" to it than past albums. I could be way off here, but I thought when it first came out there was some talk about it being a little different. I figured they were just trying to help Gary get recognized more since he is such a fantastic artist and has hardly been given his due over the years.

I love this song more each time I hear it. I always turn it up. I LOVE the strings in the background.

This is still one of my least favorite songs on the album, but I do like it. Sounds like I'm in the minority, but I really enjoy this album. I'm not sure what should be released next, but I like "Half Of My Mistakes", "Trying To Matter", "We Touched The Sun" and "Like It's A Bad Thing" an awful lot.

It looks like Gary has hit his usual slowdown with a song. He got to the top 20 quicker than usual so it was not as noticable. Give him 20 more weeks and he will be in the top 5.

Yeah, I saw yesterday and today this song was not looking too good. I sure hope it has some life left in it. I love this song and Gary and it deserves to go higher than top 20.

This song is a perfect example of why bullets are almost pointless to look at. Although its bullet is -5, it has gained a little over 900k for the week on Mediabase. Audience is what matters on Billboard, and it's doing just fine there.

Thanks rowdawg. Good to hear! I still don't fully understand how to interpret all the mediabase chart stuff :)

I rarely look at mediabase so I dont know how this song is doing with bullets. Billboard is what I watch and this song is only at week 16 so it is doing great for Gary. His songs always seem to stay around for 30+ weeks so this is moving fast for him. I think it will at least make top 5 and could even reach the top.
