Maybe it will have a similar chart run to "Rehab".
The subject matter is definitely whats help this song get higher up the chart.

For some reason I don't mind this song or "Ur So Gay." This just can't be possible! :o

You know, maybe this is supposed to be enlightened or trendy or free-spirited or something, but it reminds me of Samantha Fox and Touch Me (I Want Your Body) and that sort of thing. Especially after seeing the video. Sleaze with a lesbo angle.

Where did this come from? AllAccess lists two mixes - the pop mix and rock mix - but I can't distinguish one from the other. Already #10 on pop. Flobots, part deux?

You know, that's exactly what I was thinking. Pop was having a bit of a drought just like Alternative was a few months ago. And then all of a sudden "I Kissed A Girl" storms into the top 10 out of nowhere, ready to open the door for more new hits. I think chart-wise it's going to be very similar to what just happened here with "Handlebars".

For what it's worth, Jill Sobule's "I Kissed a Girl" peaked at #20 for 3 weeks in June of 1995, though it only logged 8 weeks overall. It also happens to crush this song in every respect, in my opinion.
