Giving the physical version a different street date than the digital version was a big mistake if they wanted it to chart...I doubt it will at this point, but we can hope. Best Buy has it for $8, but according to the website, none of the stores in my area have it in stock.

Yeah, I've noticed it's not in stock in some places too. I think there might be more delays at the warehouse/shipping issues etc. It's in stock on amazon, though. The release of this EP has been a mess, quite frankly. Only being sold at shows, then on her website, then itunes and when a store release is finally announced they mess up again. They better get their asses in gear and get copies at Best Buy/Target/Walmart etc. I can really feel Michelle's frustration. Her label have essentially wasted nearly three years of her career that she'll never get back

Just passin' threw to remind everyone that Everything Comes and Goes should now be in stores! I think the prospect of an earlier release date for Different Kind of Country will be contingent on the success of this EP, so I hope people buy a copy to show the label there's still a fanbase out there. The EP has been on itunes for a few weeks now (and was advertised on the front page), but it hasn't charted on the Billboard 200 yet... This was #194 on the Current Albums chart on the current chart

^I didn't know that, t4p. But it still hasn't charted on the overall chart including catalogue albums. (And likely won't)

I went to get it today but there weren't any copies...nor were there any of her old records either. It was odd. I wanted it. What's the tracklisting? The same one that leaked a few months back with the 7 songs? If so, I might just pass. I wasn't a fan.

Six songs (no This Way):
1. Ready To Let You Go 2. Sooner Or Later 3. I Want Tears 4. Crazy Ride 5. Summertime 6. Everything Comes And Goes
None of my local major Best Buys had it either, but the smaller, oddly located ones did. I'll probably just order it from Amazon instead, but it's weird that the less popular Best Buys got it instead of the more frequented ones.

So y'all are having problems finding a copy in stores too, huh? That sucks Right. I'll be launching an investigation into the matter to find out why the label have failed to stock all the major retailers on time. I'll report back my findings here, if and when I get to the bottom of this...

I had to search online to find a Best Buy that stocked it...only 1 in all of Manhattan.

Also, what's the story behind 'getaway', the Timbaland produced track? And where is This Way? That was easily the best song she's released since Hotel Paper.

This Way could end up on the album proper, or it could end up just not being used. I'm hoping for the former.

This has really grown on me through repeat listens. I think it would have been more instant had it been stylistically geared toward pop, but her sturdy songwriting shines through regardless of genre.

What a shame. This whole album's release seems like a disaster. How long has she been gone? I wonder if she can recover from this.

What a shame. This whole album's release seems like a disaster. How long has she been gone? I wonder if she can recover from this. Well Michelle and Jessica split up during 2007 and her album was completed around a year later. So she's basically had nearly 3 years of her career wasted. I believe she can recover, but it's not gonna be easy, especially with minimal label support. I personally think she'd be better off going back to Pop. She may be threw on CHR, but I still think she has a place on HAC. First and foremost, though, girlfriend needs to get off WB Records ASAP. They've only hindered her career since the Wreckers ended. In fact, they didn't even support The Wreckers; Michelle had to finance that album with her own money.

I am confused-they just randomly released her cd??? Yeah, but it's not widely stocked. I've been told there are copies at places like Borders and FYE, but several Michelle fans have complained that none of the major Best Buys/Wal Marts or Targets were sufficiently stocked. . Not to mention it's had, like zero promotion...

I found it at Wal-Mart, the only place that had it.
An odd release. No singles or anything.

Yeah that is mostly what confuses me-I usually see a cd is coming out somewhere just from being online/itunes/SOME articles or press. This had nothing? Did it even have a single?? I hope she can carve out some sort of existence for herself in the music industry that treats her cds better than this.

Sooner or Later was a single with a video, but that was over a year ago. This is considered a "bonus album" for the fans to get some new music while we wait for the full-length.

Yep, I knew this was coming. For those who can't be bothered to read the full blog the important details are basically: - She's decided to scrap the rest of Everything Comes and Goes and move on.
- Working on a brand new album from scratch
- She's doing a live chat Thursday, December 9th at 5:00pm PST, where she might perform some new songs...
I really feel for her. :'(. It should be remembered that this album was recorded in 2007 and was supposed to be released as a 13 track album in the summer of 2008. Crazy, right? It makes me so pressed that we'll only hear the 6 songs that made the EP (Plus 'This Way'), but I'm looking forward to the new album. It better come out in 2011.

She has a online chat this Dec.9th at 5:00 PM PST.I would say a full ECAG cd is not happening and a new one in the works. A lot of changes have happened in the last few months. Perhaps the biggest (and the one that directly involves you) is that Iβve decided itβs time to move on. I went into the studio and started recording Everything Comes and Goes in the fall of 2007 with high hopes of it being released that following summer. Three years later, a majority of that album still sits on the proverbial shelf. It has not been the easiest ride emotionally or creatively. It seemed like every time I had a leg up and the light at the end of the tunnel was drawing nearer, something would happen and dramatically alter the course. I am so proud of this album and I so desperately wanted to share it with you. So many people crossed my path and gave their two cents about who I was and what I should sound like, that by the end of the day my original vision had been lost and buried. For the first time ever I found myself in a position where I was trying to appease someone else. Iβm heartbroken that you might never hear the original version of this album as I had intended. Iβve had my moment of grief and I think the only way I can get through it is by moving forward. I have recently started a new album from scratch and I couldnβt be more excited. I canβt thank you enough for being there for me throughout the making of Everything Comes and Goes. You guys truly are the greatest. Your unwavering support is remarkable and humbling. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being there when Iβve needed you the most and for being so very patient. I have a lot of fantastic things in store for you all: On Thursday, December 9th at 5:00pm PST, I will be doing a Live Online chat where I will be answering questions & playing a few old songs and maybe some new ones too! More details to come, so please check my website for additional information. Also, 'Broken Bracelet' is now available at iTunes, Amazon, Emusic, Rhapsody, etc and at my brand new on-line Merchandise store (http://www.bluecollardistro.com/michellebranch/categories.php?cPath=1169)! I am extremely excited about this. For those of you who don't know, Broken Bracelet was my independent record I made when I was 14 years old to sell at shows and shop to record labels. It ultimately got me my record deal with Maverick Records. Some songs that were on The Spirit Room are on Broken Bracelet in a very rough demo form. I'm so happy we've figured out a way to share it with you. Stay tuned! Much love, board.michellebranch.com/index.php?showtopic=2976&st=0&gopid=59919entry59919

I wonder if she's sticking with country still. IKR? She didn't mention 'Different Kind of Country' as the title so I'm guessing that's not the new album title anymore. Interesting...

Is she still with a label? I almost think she would be happier indie though that would eliminate pretty much any shot at mainstream success.

I think she's still with Warner Bros. Nashville, unfortunately. I sense there might be some changes soon, though. I agree, her creative freedom is definitely being compromised by her label, and that's a shame.

This whole situation has been so frustrating and disappointing these past couple of years. I can't understand why the full album was not released. It's perfect the way Michelle meant for it to be.

Words cannot express my frustration...I remember seeing her live in 2008 when she started performing the new material. Now there's at least half an album's-worth of great songs we aren't going to hear. :(

she used to be a favorite of mine. She rivaled Kelly Clarkson, imo, in terms of that pop/rock sound. "All You Wanted" is ace.
