Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but how can I get the album artwork? I purchased the album off of iTunes but did not have any artwork download, nor do I see an option for how to do that. Do record labels even provide this anymore?

I'm so happy we finally got a new Michelle Branch album! I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to say that. And there are so many good songs. "City" and "Fault Line" might be my favorites on first listen.

Up to #19 on iTunes. I need to take time out and properly listen to it but I absolutely love BYE and, in a perfect Pop music world, it'd be a comeback smash for her. Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but how can I get the album artwork? I purchased the album off of iTunes but did not have any artwork download, nor do I see an option for how to do that. Do record labels even provide this anymore? Do you mean the album cover or the liner notes? It didn't come with a digital booklet.

FWIW, I think "Fault Line" is great and is my favorite among the 3 tracks she released before the album release. And this live version is different yet just as good (love the extra guitars that the studio version doesn't have)!
As for the album, listening to it right now and I'll let you know my rating on Monday!

Thanks!

First uploads from her Album Release concert in NYC. Glad to see her playing looser now as compared to the GMA performance. Having such a supportive sing-along crowd helps. You're our shooting star, Meech!

I listened to a little over half and wasn't pulled in by much. I'll have to give it another listen sometime soon.

I absolutely love everything I've heard from this so far. Makes me think of my Ace :bert: I couldn't have asked for a better album. I went to see her last Friday at her album release show in NYC, and she was just as good as I remembered. :)

I love the sound of this album - as much as I love her first few albums.... this was a necessary evolution. Super stylish and vibey. Gawd yes.

I can't believe she sold more than Nelly Furtado. For someone who has been gone for a decade and released non-radio music, its impressive.

Is this album considered to be a commercial flop? How many units has it sold.
I do like the album. I think Michelle did a nice job. It does lack commercial singles such as "Loud Music", but it has some very nice songs.

Am I reading that right? 5,000 copies? I was 1 of the 5,000. But I'm just really sad to hear that.

Am I reading that right? 5,000 copies? I was 1 of the 5,000. But I'm just really sad to hear that. As mentioned in the previous posts, HDD has it listed at 6.7K. Perhaps the lower figure doesn't include digital sales? I think this album is doing as expected, for now. Nobody really buys albums anymore, it's just a way for the artist to make you see them on tour. I wanted to buy it at my local record store, except that I just found out that it closed! So stuck with Amazon. That being said, a alt-rock "hit" single will extend it's longevity. I'm hoping "Fault Line" or "Temporary Feeling" or "Not a Love Song" can do it. If it can cross over to pop then that's just gravy. The most recent comparison I can bring up is "Cool Kids" by Echosmith (produced by Mike Elizondo btw, who played bass on the "Hotel Paper" album). To cross over to pop, she likely needs a collab. Hayley from Paramore had BOB and Zedd... could happen now that everyone knows that she's back.

I think she's happy she has a new album finally out even if it's smaller scale. I read an interview that her previous label wanted her to do vocals for EDM artists but she turned it down

$9.99 at Target this week; cheaper than release week ironically.

Her song "This Way," from Everything Comes and Goes, is on Spotify. It's been released in a compilation called Country Girls.

I thought these new songs a bit strange but IΒ΄ve been listening to the album again lately and enjoying it more.
