I'd like to see "The More Boys I Meet" next, or "You Won't Find This" if a ballad is chosen.
It looks like "Just A Dream" will take #1 this week. I'm glad for Carrie, even though I think it's her weakest single to date. 4 #1s from the same album, especially for a female artist, is a pretty big accomplishment. I'd love to see her get to 5 and tie the record. If she is #1 this week (which is very likely), it looks to me like she'll get at least 2-3 weeks.

What females have scored 4 #1s from a single album? All I can think of is Shania. There may have been more, but she's the only one who comes to mind. A few (Dixie Chicks, Jo Dee, Shania again, Carrie twice) have gotten three, but as far as I can remember, Shania's the only one to have four. Unless Roseanne Cash did. I seem to remember something about her doing it in the late 80s, but I could be mistaken.

I was told that Carrie would be breaking the record for females with 4 number 1's off a single album. Are you sure that Roseanne Cash's number 1's were counted on Billboard?
The record I was talking about, is for Billboard only. I have no idea about mediabase, etc.
But supposedly, Shania had 3 number 1's (billboard), and now Carrie would get 4, which would be a billboard record for females in country music.
We will have to find out if Roseanne Cash's 4 number 1's were in the Neil Soundscan era, and it this was a billboard record or mediabase.
Carrie will at minimum, tie Roseann'e record at 4. If she releases FOTF or GOOTT next, or even IKYW, she would break any past records for females, and tie the male record at 5.

Shania had four Billboard #1s from The Woman In Me:
Any Man Of Mine I'm Outta Here You Win My Love No One Needs To Know
Roseanne's are from Billboard as well. Carrie will tie these ladies, if/when "Just A Dream" hits #1, but she'll have to get a 5th to have the record all to herself.

She had only three from Come On Over. If you count just the country chart I know, I know, this is the country forum, blah blah haha. I'm bored and had to let that be known. Continue..

I think this is her weakest single too. Sorry, but I do. She's my favorite singer aside from Atreyu and Jack Johnson, but I DON'T like this song. I'm glad it'll keep her streak going though, but I can't wait for "Flat on the Floor" and "I Know You Won't" to be released. (They better be!)

I can not stand "Flat on the Floor"! It is one of my skip tracks on CR. I am hoping for "Crazy Dreams". :) I would love to see "I Know You Won't" as a single. I just don't know how radio would respond to it.

'FOTF' better be the next single. I love that song. It would easily be my favorite of her singles from this era.

I really want Flat on the Floor to be the next single, but I'd be really happy with Crazy Dreams, I Know You Won't, or Get Out of This Town! :) I just think FOTF can be a huge hit!!! It's really catchy, and I love the beginning intro thing.

I'll put my vote in for Twisted, since nobody seems to like that song. Although I would really like to see You Won't Find This released as well, because I feel it is the standout track from the album. FOTF is probably going to be it, which is ok I guess, I'll just be flipping stations whenever it comes on. IKYW or Crazy Dreams would interesting releases though, because neither is the slightest bit country (especially IKYW), and could potentially come up short of the top.

I just can't see it being a single. I would love it though if she made it a single! I think though that Crazy Dreams is country though. It has fiddles, banjoes, and everything.

I just don't see "Twisted" or even "Crazy Dreams" being all that accepted by country radio/audiences.
I think "Flat On The Floor" would be a great single choice because it's very country, but it also stretches Carrie as an artist and would be something different from her. I'm not sure it's a surefire #1, but it would do well.
"The More Boys I Meet" is something I see being loved by country radio and going to #1.
"Get Out Of This Town" could do well at country radio, but I also see it just sort of coming and going and not really leaving a lasting impression.
In terms of a song that would do well at country radio and keep interest in her, I think "TMBIM" is the best choice with "FOTF" close behind. I think "I Told You So" could do well, too, but it isn't all that different for her (people would think, "Oh, another country ballad from Carrie").

TMBIM annoys me for some reason. I am not sure why--- maybe because Carrie's voice is not as smooth and pretty on it, as it is in other songs. It is not her fault- but the song is written in a manner that it doesn't showcase her voice.
FOTF or GOOTT would be great next. If she did a 6th single, IKYW would be great.
I would die of happiness if YWFT was a single as it is one of the best songs on the album...but she doesn't even play it in concert, so I think we can scratch that off.

I thought her duet with Rodney Crowell "It's Such A Small World" was also from King's Record Shop. If it was then Rosanne has 5 #1's in a row and they were all #1 on Billboard.

^ It's not on the album according to All Music Guide. I think it's from Rodney's Diamonds & Dirt album.

I think it should be either "Flat on the Floor" or "The More Boys I Meet" next, followed by "I Told You So"

4 Country #1's off back-to-back albums... didn't ever imagine it was possible, but gosh it looks like she's going to do it. Amazing! :)

I'd love to see YWFT released as a single. Its different lyrically, the vocal is smooth and the production is light enough to let her voice shine. I won't hold my breath though since it seems to be the forgotten gem on Carnival Ride. I like Twisted second best and TMBIM third mainly because I think the frog reference is a little too corny.
I think they'll end up picking FOTF. Not a bad pick, but I think Carrie sounds like she's competing to be heard over the music for a lot of the song. I shutter to think about the video Roman White will come up with for it if it is the next single. Carrie in a cabin with a storm blowing out the windows?

^hahaha wow, probably. roman white is a monster. i really want get out of this town...i think because just a dream is so controversial and sad that another song like that (flat on the floor) wouldn't really be as welcomed right away. and personally, i think get out of this town is probably the only other song on the album that is upbeat and happy that i actually like. for some reason i have never been able to get into twisted, i know you won't or you won't find this...they are just so bland and boring imo...and i think crazy dreams and the more boys i meet are kind of just whatever songs that are good but not memorable. just my two cents

Maybe I'm missing something, but how are Just a Dream and/or Flat on the Floor controversial at all? I haven't heard a bit of it, and can't imagine what would cause it.

I really don't see how "Flat on the Floor" can be considered "controversial" either. I just see it as a good, uptempo song that showcases Carrie's impressive pipes and Brett James and Ashley Monroe's knack for writing good metaphorical-type songs.
I like FOTF very much, but as far as it being released as a single I'd rather it not be. No doubt it'd be a hit, but I'd like to see Ashley Monroe release it for the sole reason that it would put her on the map and get her some well-deserved airplay. I think Carrie's managment should release "Get Out of This Town," then "You Won't Find This," and finally "Crazy Dreams" to close the album. I think three more singles are in order because Carrie probably won't release her next album until this time next year or later, and to keep herself visible on radio and the charts she'll need to have a new song(s) to fill the gap between albums. Of course, that's just how I see it, and I'm no professional. ;)

I'm inclined to agree with you here. That said, some people a few places started a rumor that JAD was an "anti-war" song. No substance at all to that though.
