Please stop with the iTunes updates. If people care enough about them, they can look them up on their own.

Sure lol If you're truly baffled as to why rowdawg would make such a "silly" request, you can check out this thread, where the discussion about the postings of iTunes updates was first started back in the summer. I think the consensus ended up being that those types of updates were going to be avoided, unless there was an obviously noteworthy performance (e.g., a song vaulting into the top five from way down the list).

It doesn't matter, I adhered to his request and I will not post it again. No argument from me ;)
But I do have one question, why "silly" in quotations? I never said anything like that.

I don't think I've said this, but "Roll With Me" has been one of my favorite current singles for quite a while. I hope it can sneak in a week at #1 somewhere.

I found this pretty interesting www.hearsomethingcountry.com/index.phpYou'll need to register your email to do this. "Filmed using a 360 degree filming process, this is the first short-form country video to make use of the technology. Although they know the concept behind the panoramic views, Troy Gentry and Eddie Montgomery told us yesterday (November 18th) they had yet to see the final results. '(Troy) You'll be able to interact with this video when it comes out and be able to go online and on certain parts of it be able to take your mouse, I guess and scroll 360 all the way around us. And get this full view of everything, just like being there in Eddie and It's shoes. Be able to see that whole picture deal. But, I haven't really had the chance to check that out yet. (Eddie) I'm excited too. I've just got to get T to show me how to use the computer so I can see it.'"

#1 next week looks like it's theirs for the taking. Zac and Timmy are now trending negative, and the duo should have maintained at least a 2~2.5 mill lead on the Flatts. They probably trail Zac by 3 mill or so, so they'll need to put together a solid gain, maybe 1.5 mill, to make it happen. Surely their label won't miss such a golden opportunity.
And if they close the deal, it'll be their first back-to-back #1s of their career (and 4th and 5th total). It's too bad they couldn't have done that 3 or 4 years ago, as they could have grabbed another one or two Duo awards from Brooks & Dunn. Now with Sugarland around, that'll be nearly impossible.

Hey, at least they got a duo award the year they debuted. They chose the right year to debut in, even if they couldn't get a #1 until 2004, they had an album that had 3 top 10's and still didn't even go gold, and they still haven't quite had that *big* breakthrough hit.

The Billboard #s ended up being 35.1 for Zac (a 0.3 mill loss from 12/6), 33.3 for Timmy (a 0.7 mill drop), and 32.6 for MG (0.8 mill gain). So a 2.5 mill gap for MG should be manageable, if they put forth a little effort. Zac shouldn't have any trouble dropping 1.5 next week, and then MG/their label need just small bit of promotion, to get a 1.2~1.3 mill burst to grab #1. The door's open; will they walk through it?

Oh it's close now
1 1 ZAC BROWN BAND Chicken Fried 4721 5079 -358 33.642 3 2 MONTGOMERY GENTRY Roll With Me 4715 4661 54 32.682
Still about a million behind in audience, but it looks like they've got a really good shot of pulling this off by the end of the week. Any news on a third single?

Kinda a surprised that one's posted here lately since this is now the official number one. I'm glad to see these guys take the top spot and hopefully it'll translate into another billboard number one. Finally these guys are getting the appreciation they deserve. I'm expecting Long Line of Losers next, even though it's a cover. It sounds more like a second or fourth single to me, but I don't think they'll go that deep so I just hope it gets released.

Yes, I'm MORE than glad they have another #1 on their hands. They MORE than deserve it.
Now for the next single?..... I would love to see "Now You're Talking" but I'm not too sure how it would do. Same with "One In Every Crowd". I think "Look Some More" would be a safe bet.
Anything but "Long Line Of Losers". I don't like anything about that song.

Of all of the mentioned songs, I'd have to go with One In Every Crowd. That's a really fun song that I think would do pretty well on the charts. My personal favorite though is One Trip, but the subject matter isn't all that different from Roll With Me, so it probably won't be released next. Long Line Of Losers would be ok with me (although it's not my favorite), and I guess so would Look Some More (good verses, kind of bleh chorus), but I really don't care for Now You're Talkin'. After back-to-back Troy songs, I'd expect we'll see an Eddie song next, so LLOL or OIEC would work fine, or even It Ain't About Easy.

Seeing as they split the lines about 50/50 (as opposed to their usual pattern when they split of Eddie on the verses, Troy on the chorus), I don't think BWIKIA qualifies as an Eddie song or a Troy song.

I re-listened to the song and I guess you're right. I just associate Troy with the song because he sings the opening verse (and as you said, Eddie usually does the verses).

There are quite a few single-worthy songs on this album:
"Long Line of Losers" - I thought for sure this would be the second single, even though I really like it, I don't know if it's a good followup to RWM but it's still really good. Also, it would be good to followup a Troy song with an Eddie song. Diversity is what these guys have over pretty much all the other duos in the business right now.
"One In Every Crowd" - It would do fairly well, but it's not one of my favorites. It also has the benefit of basically being split fairly evenly between the guys like BWIKIA was.
"Look Some More" - This one is one of my favorites, it's undeniably catchy albeit a little bit repetitive, but that much is forgivable. The only thing is that it's a Troy song and I don't think they wanna followup RWM up with another of his, even though they did go with two consecutive Eddie-Heavy songs with the last album (Lucky Man and WDYTAT)
"I Pick My Parties" - Honestly, I'm not a big fan of this one. But I know that many people enjoy it and I can see why. Having Toby on the record isn't gonna hurt it any either.
"One Trip" - I love this song, but again it's predominately a Troy song.
"God Knows Who I Am" - Maybe this should stay as an album track, but I think it could really do well on the radio.
My money is on either LLoL or One in Every Crowd, but I'm hoping for One Trip.

I do have to say, I am not a big MG fan at all...at all...actually I usually like only one song off each record, but I love the sound of this song and the vocals are great...I hope they continue to follow-through with this sound...it could really work for them.

It's funny how everyone is trying to pick through the next single based on who sings it.
With Brooks & Dunn, no one ever discusses whether they should go with a "Ronnie song" or a "Kix song".

Kix sings? :o lol
Yeah I may have driven that point into the ground a bit, but I still think it plays a factor.

2 1 MONTGOMERY GENTRY Roll With Me 4987 4715 272 34.786 4 2 RASCAL FLATTS Here 4404 4285 119 30.552
Wow, two weeks at number one seems inevitable, with the possibility of a third. That's fantastic, the only thing is that two weeks after it falls out of number one it'll probably go recurrent immediately lol

has there been some kind of remix for this released to radio? i heard some remix that had a nice beat behind the whole song, and if i heard correctly it sounded like there was a rap on some part of the song. i was totally confused at that point. maybe it was something my radio station made up? i have no idea but it was very strange. the beat did not fit the song that well and the rap completely threw me off.

Can someone explain this to me. On the latest allacess update, Rascal Flatts took over the number one spot. However, MG still has the lead in both spins and audience. Am I missing something? Is there some other factor?

Is there some other factor? Nobody can explain this to you, because MB does not divulge the formula they use to calculate rankings. That's one of the reasons some of us pay more attention to Billboard charts than to MB's data. It's a combination of airplay, spins, and "other stuff." This doesn't happen at #1 too often, but if you look carefully at the MB daily updates you'll see dozens of time during the year in which one song is ahead of another despite trailing it in spins and audience.
