Why was this word and almost all variations of it put into the censor?
It's lame, if you're gonna put that in then put in Kelbots, Lamb, etc etc. Is it hurting anybody? No. :)
We Pinkches are gonna have a throwdown up in here! And we'll call human rights!

Yeah, I agree. Banning the word "p!nkc.h" was totally dumb. Unless the mods are just playing with us. If that's the case, then banning the word "p!nkc.h" was totally dumb.

LMAE=STAFF for doing that. I don't really see why they did, I mean it isn't hurting anyone and it is not foul language. It is like banning the word purple. lol

It just stands for a SUPER Pink fan. :) I remember when P!nk (with the explanation mark) was banned as well, which was a little strange. I mean what could be one possibly justified reason for banning such words? lol ???

From what I remember... we were referring to the fans as the 'Pink bitches', then the 'P!nk bitches', which turned into something short like the "P!nkches". That was it!! And it was a tragicomic story in fact... because at the beginning we were suffering when U+Ur Hand was strugggling and seemed like flopping, but all Pink fans tried really hard to turn thigns around: called, emailed, wrote, did some favors (David style, hehe ) and really got on board with supporting the song ... when it came back to life, we all got super excited, followed the chart run one day at a time, going for small objectives (Z add, Top40, Top30, Top25, Top20, Top10... #1... PopTop5 of the year!!!! :o) We were mostly happy, sometimes obnoxious especially with some random threads (I also complained about them!!), but it was mostly like a family with everyone signing their own P-inkch identity. Sometimes it was too much, with random stuff and 10 pages a day, especially when something big happened, but besides that, we were probably the most united group of fans in PMB... and some people were envious of that. Keeping History aside, I am also annoyed at the banning of the word P|nkch. It is not like h8ters, which implies a derogatory adjective, or cursing. P|nkch is just a name for Pink fans, why banning that? I am annoyed at the 'squared' names that were so en vogue after Mariah's album, but no one has banned that. I haven't requested it either, because it's all about RESPECT to the other members' identities. We are not insulting, and I donΒ΄t want my sigs being that grossly modified when I am not insulting or hurting anyone. If some people don't like it, first, don't go to Pink's threads, then, IGNORE us, that function is active now, so if you hate us, put your FatMamaΒ΄s ass away from us!! ;) We don't want to make war, but we don't want to be attacked randomly either!!! Well okay - foul language maybe, if we use the term LOOSELY.
But people use it to describe themselves - they like it. They're not calling other people like that, making it seem like a bad thing. The banning was a little unnecessary, in my opinion.

So what if they censored that particular word? Y'all can still continue with that phenomenon and fun without mentioning it with that specific word. I remember when the whole P i n k c h phenomenon began, it was mentioned and discussed almost everyday. And it would continue for pages and pages and pages.
I think it's fine to have fun while discussing music and stuff, but when the focus of the discussion isn't the music or whatever the main subject is, then it's not good for everyone. Some members here would prefer to go into a thread and just get the info they're looking for and then move on to the next thread or whatever. Sometimes some or most pages of a particular thread where this P i n k c h phenomenon is occurring clutter the thread. I don't really have a problem with the phenomenon, but some people do.

BUT that is not EXCLUSIVE to Pinkch threads, Disco... Same could EASILY be said of ALL the BritneyΒ΄s threads and Mariah's threads... maybe with the difference that there is no much drama, tragedy, fights as in those ones. I recognize that many pinkchers went out of control a couple of times, but then we also tried to refrain and concentrate on the music again... of course events like U+UH reaching #1 or HuNu reaching #1 were celebrated like crazy, but HEY, after all, those were not only Pinkch events, they were records or milestones on their own, which deserved to be celebrated.
AND Pinkch became a word on its own, not a FOUL word. I am not that stupid to keep insulting myself putting that name, right? Lets be honest for once and just state openly that people just disliked the whole Pinkchness and felt annoyed by it. Again, although I like records, Im not particularly fond of having the longest username in Pulse history thanks to this retarded ban, Id rather see my name shortened and like the exact way I want it to be read. Period. If whoever group of 'wisemen' has decided to keep the ban, I would ask them to please ban ALL the annoying squares that are on those usernames. ItΒ΄s bugging me and others a lot. Replace that with another superlong phrase, and at least Pinkches will feel itΒ΄s not a discrimination issue...

Remember. This place isn't a fan board for any specific singer or performer or artist. If you're that serious about discussing Pink (or anyone), I'm sure there are tons of message boards out there for those respective people.
I think this whole thing is a moot point. Think about why the word was fouled with in the first place...!

??? I think anyone should be free to express their love to their artists freely. We have Rihannafans, lambs, brits, etc, legends (ehem...) that show their love with moving sigs, avis, phrases, nicknames and so on... In my case, I am a Madonna fan over all and I just happened to like Pink and became a Pinkch after all the good times in those threads. IΒ΄m not into a drama because of the specific artist Pink. Replace P!nkch with lamb, and if that word was banned I would be equally angry even if I were not a Mariah fan. ItΒ΄s simply a question of principle, and I think many of us share that same passion when a principle of freedom is attacked... and I have already been openly critical against decisions that IMO are irrationally against liberties. Sorry if that bothers, itΒ΄s just the way I am.
Btw, Max, could you clarify your last sentence? English is not my first language and I didn't get your point.
In any case, it's ridiculous how the good vibe that was felt in Pulse in the past months, suddenly gets disrupted by issues like this. There was no need at all to bother a group of people (ANY group) that way... childish.

What I meant was that I think people should probably think about why the name was even altered in the first place.
Anyway, I think the Pink fans are probably the nicer of all of the major fan groups on Pulse as they seem to keep to themselves and not fight with others as much but then there are other problems such as the inability for anybody to find any type of information on Pink whatsoever if they happen to look for it. This board is supposed to be here for people to provide news, information and other things on anybody and everybody but when Pink releases something, the board turns into a literal chat room. When Mariah releases something, the board turns into an online boxing ring. When Madonna releases something, it turns into a wresting match. Etc, etc, etc. It sucks that the good vibe of what this message board is all about suddenly gets disrupted because people get overexcited and cause issues like this. I personally think it takes away from the excitement of non-super-fans who are interested in hearing new singles from the divas but suddenly lose interest because they can't find any information on them on this board so they don't bother wasting their time trying to look for it. This is a message board! It's not a fighting match. It's not a peace rally. It's especially not a chat room! It's an information music message board!!
And I recently thought about this. I'm willing to bet that at one point, this board probably had the potential to host some actual industry people. Record label people, more radio people, etc, etc. But I'm sure upon coming here and seeing how unprofessional this board is, they probably decided against it. It's good that we have as many regular members as we do and I think the potential for this board in what we serve to the online community is incredible but I think we're held back at times because of the reputation that we give ourselves that usually comes down to certain fan groups. Sometimes what we find here is no different than what we find at fanboards. I think that sucks!

Max makes a very good point there. I remember last year when Never Again came out and I enjoyed the My December album, but I was wary of talking about either too much or posting in the Kelly threads at all because of the level of fan hysteria and people shouting "flop!". When you have something like that, you're actually turning people that like the music away from the artist, which is quite unfortunate imo.
