The fact that Nickelback has established themselves as a true multi-format band now is what's selling the album. When you have songs going top ten or top twenty on CHR, Active, Alt, HAC, and AC you know you're gonna have healthy album sales. That's a huge and very diverse audience that they're reaching with their songs. Even Nickelback has been hurt by the deepening recession, as it took 29 weeks for "Dark Horse" to top the two million mark in domestic sales, compared to 13 weeks for "The Long Road" and 14 for both "Silver Side Up" and "All The Right Reasons". In spite of that, Nickelback are outselling U2, they're outselling virtually every diva and R&B artist, and they'll all but certainly eventually best Coldplay's latest release sales-wise. Every major artist is in the same boat sales-wise, but Nickelback look the healthiest among the present crop. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

They should be. It may have to go the Shinedown road though and hit Top 10 in airplay before they finally relent. Nice updates. :)

Apparently they arent, well I see that as a good thing, because its top 15 so Z100 will PROBABLY add it pretty soon, and if they do itll take off a bit

I think this will just continue it's slow rise with a 250-400 bullet all the way into the top ten. Then I think it will pick up a bit. I think that's how it will be from now on with their singles at pop, just very slow rises, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

15 15 NICKELBACK If Today Was Your La... 4049 3795 254 20.478 damn...what's wrong with this era's pop singles? Rock songs are rising slower on this format these days. If they can go Top 10 they should increase as Shinedown did when the larger stations add them. It's just a matter of getting there first. Luckily for NB they have multi format radio play and their name pretty much sales itself so it hasn't hurt them too much with sales to not have a Top 10 here yet.

Yeah that's what I think will happen. This needs to go Top 10 and then I think a surge will come especially from the big stations (like Z100).

This song is kind of dull. It grew on me a little, though.

I wish a dark horse would trample Nickelback to death. EVERYTIME this song comes on the radio, I literally have to shut it off. I cant stand it.

Their single sales are rising, this song is getting a lot of love. I think it will most certainly go top 10 on here. This isn't like their last album where they had no competition. Shinedown, Daughtry, and even the band they signed, Theory of a Deadman etc, are cutting into how often stations will play this song. Without that, I think this would have been an easy #1.

I'm thinking that it could get to 14, because DeBarge is falling pretty quickly . But the BEP are coming up pretty fast behind.

15 15 NICKELBACK If Today Was Your La... 4049 3795 254 20.478 damn...what's wrong with this era's pop singles? Think Clear Channel overnight playlists might really be affecting rock tracks (not sure but seems like it...)

Well, given how your usual Nickelback album release is not complete without a ballad, my guess would be "I'd Come For You".
It so happens to be the current single here in Canada, and it was released in Europe a few months before.
Upon hearing the track a few times, the sound is reminiscent of a power ballad that could have been written in the '80s, much of that thanks to Mutt Lange's production on this album. Bryan Adams could have easily sung this, given the similarities it has to some of the hits he had from that decade.

It'll probably be "I'd Come For You" or "Never Gonna Be Alone".

Probably "I'd Come for You" will be the 3rd single, then "This Afternoon" will follow it.
