I don't think this has a chance in HELL at getting to the Hot 100 after falling all the way down to #17 on iTunes...Just when the airplay started to pick up... NICOLE: I Hate this part right here!!!!!! NICOLE (AS BACKGROUND SINGERs): I Can't take it any longer, Thought that we were stronger, all we do is linger!!!

11 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5050 4802 248 33.233 Spins: +32 Bullet: +29 Audience: +0.179 11 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5066 4830 236 33.174 Spins: +16 Bullet: -12 Audience: -0.059 Spins continue to rise, both bullets and audience down from yesterday, more or less continuning the same pattern that's been happening all week. Yet, it's still holding strong in the same position since Sunday - I don't think it has stayed in the same rank for this many consecutive days since starting to chart back in November. Meanwhile, "Untouched" (#12) has experienced bullet losses in the same manner like this single did last week while continuing to gain spins at a slowly but surely pace. "Right Round" (#14) is within about 800 spins away from these singles, so this could make things close once again, and even "Dead and Gone" (#16) is picking things up too. On the other hand, "Live Your Life" continues to fall but at a pace that will be enough to keep them in the Top 10 again, and probably one more time this weekend. I notice that this single is just beginning to take off in both the Rhythmic (#33) and Hot AC charts (#48). I'm wondering if this could help to possibly extend the run of this single for at least a few more weeks next month and provide it with some longevity - just enough for this single to make the Top 10 on Mediabase's CHR airplay chart, even though "Bottle Pop" is clearly expected to get adds by then. I'm not so sure however that this will be enough to help its cause in doing the same thing on the Hot 100. Say what you will about the singles from this album that have been released so far, but the music video for this single is not only one of my favorites at the moment, but probably one of, if not their best. It gets better everytime I watch it, and I even prefer it more now over "When I Grow Up". I saw the video for "Bottle Pop" and for quite a potential catchy hit, it was just okay at best but underwhelming to say the least. So much for being this album's "Buttons", where was Snoop Dogg? And I have to agree to a certain extent that it does look like a continuation of "Whatcha Think About That". The quality is just not there this time and it could have been better.

That's true. For "Bottle Pop", I think the song will grow on me more than the video. Unlike this single, where both the song and the video are to my liking.

The "Bottle Pop" video has never been released though...Snoop Dogg will not appear in it, but that doesn't mean that the lq version that we saw is the final edit.

But I'm pretty sure the video has already been released in Oceania, unless that means North America will have a different version or the actual final edit.

Maybe they'll reshoot a US version for the Bottle Pop vid?
I'm so frustrated with I Hate This Part's bullet. It totally deserves to get in the top ten, and everytime something falls out, some other song has to come in all big and bad and pass PCD up. :(

Maybe they'll reshoot a US version for the Bottle Pop vid? I'm so frustrated with I Hate This Part's bullet. It totally deserves to get in the top ten, and everytime something falls out, some other song has to come in all big and bad and pass PCD up. :( If it means that the video will be better than the one already out, then I'm open to that. Yeah, "I Hate This Part" has been through a stroke of bad luck as of late, but at least it's still hanging in there. It's been somewhat tricky to predict the direction of this single, since its bullet is sometimes up or down, even while the spins continue to rise. Compared to last week though, it's been doing slightly better. As for songs coming in all big and bad and passing this single, there's certainly no denying that. The All-American Rejects did that just as both PCD and The Fray were fighting to make Top 20. And that was when this single had its strongest bullet reading. Then Kelly Clarkson came out of nowhere and her rapid ascent pretty much left everyone else in the dust - that was when the momentum for this single was lost and reduced to what it is now. As much as I hate to admit it, if it wasn't for Kelly, this single would have been Top 10 by now. A week later, The Fray rebounded just in time for their album release and now they're Top 10. Yet another missed opportunity. And it doesn't look like this streak of passing songs is going to stop anytime soon, unless this single starts picking it up. The next potential songs to pass them: "Right Round" by Flo Rida and even "Dead and Gone" by T.I./Justin Timberlake. If one more song passes them, its chances of making the Top 10 are more or less done, even once T.I./Rihanna are out of there. It would be a miracle for this song to hold itself at the same position for more than a week, but I doubt that will happen. And with the current Top 10 being more tighter than ever with high bullet readings and huge gaps between songs moving upward and downward, it will take a while for another song to fall out after T.I./Rihanna. At that point, waiting to make the Top 10 won't matter a whole lot anymore once and if they get passed. Halfway through the month of February, it may seem like under a month left for their chances of making Top 10, but suddenly it's been cut down to one or two more weeks at the most. Same fate more or less holds for The Veronicas' "Untouched". Time is more or less running out for both singles. Only one of them but not both might be lucky enough to make the Top 10, if they even do. But once they're passed, then both get shut out.

Then that's the one I've seen. And likely the same one released by their label.

Actually on YouTube there is a HD video...you're right it must be the oceanic one...The song is better without Snopp Dogg and there's a great new intro by Nicole that really works.

11 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5066 4830 236 33.174 Spins: +16 Bullet: -12 Audience: -0.059 12 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5072 4839 233 32.937 Spins: +6 Bullet: -3 Audience: -0.237 This single has managed to stay at #11 for almost a full week. Even at its slow pace, the spins continue to rise and the bullet losses have been lower than they were last week. That's more or less the good news. In the case of today's update, the bad news comes from the decline in audience impressions, which is somewhat concerning. Perhaps stations with a smaller audience have increased their spin count while those with a larger audience have been on the decline. For instance, Z100 New York still has this clocked at 60+ spins but it was down a bit from last week. Hopefully the audience numbers can rebound as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, it looks like this single has caught itself a little break, as "Untouched" really took a hit with declines in every single category, so in that manner, it has managed to pull away a little bit. However, both "Right Round" and "Dead and Gone" continue to make their quick run up the chart as they're now both Top 15, meaning they are less than a week away from catching up and potentially passing this single. Seriously, this song has to start moving now. And enough with the bullet losses already. Those need to rise a lot more along with the spin count. Especially with the next window of opportunity coming up in a few days once T.I./Rihanna are out of the Top 10. With roughly 750-800 spins separating this single from both Flo Rida and T.I/Justin Timberlake, they still have a shot but with each day that passes, it's not only going to be a close, tight race but also looking less promising.

I'm wondering if the boost it received last Sunday was courtesy of Open House Party. This would be the only way to explain the tremendous bullet loss today, meaning this single did not get any spins there this week. Meanwhile, T.I./Justin Timberlake have landed at #13. Only less than 600 spins now from catching up. Time's running out. With each day that passes, it seems this single's chances of making the Top 10 are becoming smaller. Also worth noting are spin losses in major markets compared to last week: WIOQ Philadelphia (-15) and Z100 New York (-7), KIIS in LA has this single at 42 spins. On the other hand, the positives come from large spin increases from stations in smaller markets (Louisville, Charleston, Appleton)

11 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5037 4924 113 32.812 Spins: -35 Bullet: -120 Audience: -0.125 11 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5062 4993 69 32.847 Spins: +25 Bullet: -44 Audience: +0.035 While I still love this song, I'm beginning to "hate this part" where I have to keep posting a bullet that continues to fall, and now, it's below 100. :( I should also mention that following the final updates from yesterday afternoon, the spin gain is actually smaller (+5) and the bullet loss was higher (-64), since it gained at least 20 more spins than what was posted in the morning. Even though this does not look promising, there's one very last glimmer of hope, based on the following: Both this single and "Untouched" are now sandwiched by T.I.'s latest singles. "Live Your Life" is just about to leave the Top 10 while "Dead and Gone" with its high bullet, is easily going to take its place. This single has managed to hold itself ahead of "Untouched" based on the spin counts and the higher bullet readings between both songs, even though the gains and losses have switched back and forth between the two songs daily, even with no movement in ranking. Note though how big the losses have been for "Live Your Life" over the past week, even the weekend and also today (anywhere between 100 and 200 daily). So in assuming this single continues at its current pace (spins gained preferably with moderate to little bullet losses, and not drastic that they reach zero or negative value), and at the same time, maintaining its lead ahead of "Untouched", this just might manage to sneak its way into #10 because of "Live Your Life" has been falling. As of today's update, the latter leads by only 203 spins. If that happens, it will only be a one-day stay (it would be a miracle to get two or more), so we'll take what we can get at this point. Again, I'm only saying it could happen - maybe tomorrow or Wednesday. Sure, this may not mean a whole lot since it won't count towards the weekly published chart on Sundays, which by then, will have T.I./Justin Timberlake sitting comfortably at #10 in place of this single. But still, to see this single inside the top 10 for at least one day as I post these updates, would be more than gratifying enough at this point. So at the very least, let's hope that does happen! Any further thoughts on this?

Poor PCD missing the top 10 by only 200 spins (for the official chart I mean). At least it might be able to get a midweek peak of 10.

OMG Viva... you really like writing about this song, right? I don't think you really need to write that much about this song with every daily update, but to each his own ;) My simple analysis for this is: It unfortunately missed the boat now. As of today, the numbers of the competitors are like this: 8 10 T.I. Live Your Life f/Rih... Grand Hustle/Atlantic 5265 6473 -1208 11 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part Interscope 5062 4993 69 13 12 VERONICAS Untouched Sire/Warner Bros. 4925 4913 12 18 13 T.I. Dead And Gone f/J. T... Grand Hustle/Atlantic 4677 3650 1027 Dead and Gone is bound to replace Live Your Life by Sunday. The Pussies may reach the Top10 for one or two days this week (Wednesday?), but that's it. Unfortunately.

Unfortunately. Like I said, we'll take what we can get. One or two days at #10 is certainly better than nothing. In Canada, this song has now outpeaked "When I Grow Up" on Hot AC sitting at #11 and is about on par with how it performed on CHR (#8). And yes, after this has peaked and begins to fall, the only daily posts for this song you'll see will come from the daily CHR Top 50 thread (depending on whoever posts the chart) and certainly no more analysis. I'll also indicate my final posting for this song when it comes. May I say it was fun while it lasted. LOL

Viva le Rebound I love your analysis on this song! Very great to read, I wish you did it for every song I liked :) As for this song it is sad that it won't go top 10(officially)but after the flop that was WYTAT this did great :)

Even though 'When I Grow Up' peaked higher, I would consider this the bigger hit. WIGU had zero longevity and really only peaked as high as it did because it was a highly-anticipated first single.

The Veronicas should be in the top 10 too... actually both song should be in the top 5! Pop radio's VERY messed up right now... actually, it's been a few years since I saw it this messed up. 4-5 months ago it wasn't, but it's slipped A LOT of late. The current top 10 is amongst the weakest top 10's I've seen in the past five years.

PCD should let Melody sing lead on an entire single to test it out.
At least Kelly and Michelle got verses.
