Hope they'll be Top 10 tomorrow. This song had such a amazing chart run, it was flopping before christmas time.

11 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5075 5007 68 32.877 Spins: +13 Bullet: -1 Audience: +0.030 11 10 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5087 5018 69 33.071 Spins: +12 Bullet: +1 Audience: +0.194 Finally a Top 10 posting - so this is bittersweet and by any means, well-deserved after the way this single has been hanging in there. Even interesting here is that the change in both the spins and the bullet are about the same from yesterday's update, while the audience impressions did go up. At the same time, it is somewhat disappointing that it will not translate into a longer stay. I really hope it can extend its stay in the Top 10 for at least another day. But if not, at least one day in the Top 10 is better than nothing. Given the way it has performed so far this week even with little to no change in the bullets, and the fact that it continues to pick up spins, it's amazing. It will fall back one, maybe two spots, but does not seem quite ready to give up yet. Coincidentally, this song has also reached Top 10 on Hot AC in Canada. It also continues picking up on other formats like Rhythmic and Hot AC, so maybe this single's run might have a little more longevity for a few weeks.

Here's a thought:
I wonder if anyone knows of any singles on this chart to have a similar run like this one (steady climb, slowing down close to the Top 10), then somehow managed to rebound (huge increase in spins and bullet) and earn a lengthy stay in the Top 10 (at least a week or more).
And if so, did any of these make the Top 5 or go as far as reaching #1?

Even though 'When I Grow Up' peaked higher, I would consider this the bigger hit. WIGU had zero longevity and really only peaked as high as it did because it was a highly-anticipated first single. Now that I think about it, I actually agree. It seems that this single has had a bigger impact on the charts, being well suited for different formats. It's close to reaching the Top 40 on Hot AC (in U.S.) and I believe it's now Top 30 in the Rhythmic format. Meanwhile in Canada, the longevity factor has certainly helped: In Canada, this is how both singles compare (peak positions): "When I Grow Up" peak positions Canadian Hot 100 - #3 Mediabase CHR/Top 40 - #3 Mediabase Hot AC - #16 MuchMusic Countdown - #1 (for one week) Canadian Top 20 - #8 "I Hate This Part" peak positions so far Canadian Hot 100 - #5 (still bulleted as of last week) Mediabase CHR/Top 40 - #8 (still bulleted, reached #7 on 7-day rolling chart) Mediabase Hot AC - #12 (still bulleted, new peak of #10 as of today's update) MuchMusic Countdown - #7 MuchMoreMusic Countdown - #13 Canadian Top 20 - #16 (debut) Not only has it outpeaked "When I Grow Up" but it appears guaranteed to be a Top 10 hit on Hot AC in Canada once Sunday's official charts are published. I wouldn't rule out a spot in the Top 5 in the upcoming weeks (although it's pretty competitive with Kelly, Nickelback, Taylor Swift, The Fray and Britney rounding out the pack led by Pink at #1 while Beyonce, Lady GaGa and Jason Mraz have all peaked).

I'm so happy this finally reached top 10 on airplay. Just wish the same thing happened on the Hot 100 too! :(

I'm so happy this managed to go Top 10 even if it's only for a day or two. Very nice recovery.

And if so, did any of these make the Top 5 or go as far as reaching #1? The latest example I can recall is OneRepublic's "Stop and Stare". It reached #10 for a week, then fell in spins and bullet, stayed around #11 for 3 weeks and then climbed back up again till reaching #6. Could PCD achieve that??? I would root for that, but cases like OR are once in a blue moon.

You just never know...this despite the fact that it continues to fall on the Billboard Hot 100 from #16 last week to #22 this week.
I'm hoping it at least remains in the Top 10 on the Canadian Hot 100 - we'll find out tomorrow when I make my daily update.

A mixed update to say the least. What's impressive for the most part is a second day in the Top 10, and a continued gain in both spins and audience. Subsequently, not so impressive is today's bullet loss especially after it had been stable with +/-1 change since the beginning of the week.

11 10 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5098 5061 37 33.281 Spins: +11 Bullet: -32 Audience: +0.123 11 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5116 5066 50 33.367 Spins: +18 Bullet: +13 Audience: +0.086 Good update. Everything's up from yesterday. As expected, it got a 2-day stay at #10 but has now been passed...again and it got knocked back to #11. Unfortunately, Flo Rida will be passing this single too, so that will move them down to #12. But...Flo Rida will have to wait for Beyonce to fall out of the Top 10 unless anyone else falls before her, so if this single somehow picks things up like today and stays close with "Right Round", there's still a shot. Beyond that, both Taylor Swift and Lady GaGa will be making their way down. Kanye West appears to be slowing down among the songs moving up with the lowest bullet reading. Then again, The Veronicas, Ne-Yo and Lady GaGa ("Poker Face") will continue to make things interesting, and I won't be surprised if Lady GaGa substitutes singles in the Top 10 like T.I. did this week. With all that being said, this single is not ready to give up yet - and continues to hang in there for as long as it can.

Well two days is better than nothing! I hope it returns to top 10 soon Indeed. I hope the same thing too. Ideally, both this single and "Untouched" should make the Top 10 - they very well deserve it after getting this far and continuing to hold on.

Definitely they both deserve it. Untouched and I Hate This Part were right next to each other when they entered the top 50. I remember thinking IHTP would pass Untouched but they didn't. Then Untouched took off and slowed down then IHTP took off and passed them. Interesting run ha ha

11 11 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5116 5066 50 33.367 Spins: +18 Bullet: +13 Audience: +0.086 11 12 PUSSYCAT DOLLS I Hate This Part 5122 5075 47 33.762 Spins: +6 Bullet: -3 Audience: +0.395 As expected, this single was passed by "Right Round" and knocked back another rank. How odd that it posted the same exact changes in both spins and bullet exactly a week ago... (refer to last Saturday's update). At least, the bullet didn't fall much. But a gain in the audience remains promising. Meanwhile, here's how it's doing on radio stations in selected markets: Arranged by spin count (change in spins from last week) Louisville - 93 spins (+18) (Highest spin count) Jacksonville - 75 spins (+35) (Biggest increase in spins) New York (Z100) - 59 spins (-3) Los Angeles - 51 spins (+8) Chicago - 48 spins (-14) (Biggest decrease in spins) Overall, 20 stations posted gains by less than 10 spins, another 15 posted losses by the same amount, with 4 remaining the same from last week.

Even if this peaks at #11 (which it probably will), it's done its job. It turned around album sales for Doll Domination and essentially put this era back on the map. Now, here's to hoping their label doesn't fuck it up!
