Whoa, I go a whole week without looking at the chart and now I see so much has happened in that week: at AAR in the Top 10 with a bullet of 539 I'm impressed to see "Unwritten" with a bullet of 463 just outside the Top 20. Surprised to see Cascada already in the Top 50 - and to see that Alanis has made the Top 50.

Gavin DeGraw and Marcos Hernandez can be removed (if anyone reads this). ;)

When will the bullets begin to shrink? Within the next week, as stations start to move more and more toward Christmas music... and then continuing next weekend, when they move toward year-end countdowns. Bullets will be low through January 7, then high from January 8-14, then finally back to normal on January 15. --DanG

So they should start decreasing in the next couple of days, this will be interesting to see if some new songs (so sick) still are able to maintain a decently high bullet.

this will be interesting to see if some new songs (so sick) still are able to maintain a decently high bullet. Most new songs should be able to maintain most of their gains through the end of the year. Things really start to get bogged down on New Year's weekend, when most stations switch to year-end countdown mode and give new songs very few spins.

Yeah, I'm confused...! How many weeks has it been since the first chart after last year's yearend? Is this chart posted on R&R today the 50th one?

So I guess this is the FIRST UNOFFICIAL week... Yep! Very unexpected... In 1994, the last time December 16 was a Friday, it was the last chart of the year. However, the time before that, in 1988, they did publish a December 23 chart. So I guess they're going back to how they used to do it... which, as others have pointed out, makes more sense anyway because the first chart of 2006 will be a lot more normal. 2005 turned out to be a 51-chart year, rather than the normal 50-chart year. There will still be a two-week break as usual. The first chart of 2006 will now be the January 13 chart based on the January 8 final update. Now I have to go back and redo my Top 100 of 2005 to adjust for the extra week... Damn it! --DanG

Interesting...but, it allows for the Prediction topic results to be posted just in time for the end of the year, as the last two songs (Photograph and Stars) have now peaked, the latter for good.

Since it's now Monday morning and there hasn't been a new update, Sunday's only update, which came at 3:25 AM PST, will be considered the week's unofficial final update.
This is the first of two officially frozen chart weeks. However, here's the unofficial final chart data (assuming there are no panel changes)... This information will be compiled toward the first 2006 chart. Since this isn't an actual chart week, no songs go recurrent.
Chris Brown's Run It! remains in its fourth official week (and spends its fifth week overall) at the top of the chart.
There will be no official R&R chart again next week. The first chart of 2006 will be the January 13 chart based on the January 8 final update. This is the latest possible date for the first chart of the year.
Spins for new songs, which have already begun to decrease, will continue do to so much more over the next week. Bullets will be low through January 7, then high from January 8-14, then finally back to normal on January 15.
One Top-40 Debut: Ashlee Simpson - L.O.V.E. (#39)
One Top-50 Debut: Alanis Morissette - Crazy (#50)
Top Five New & Active: Weezer - Perfect Situation (#51) Twista Featuring Mariah Carey - So Lonely (#53) Bo Bice - The Real Thing (#54) The Goo Goo Dolls - Better Days (#55) James Blunt - You're Beautiful (#57)
Top Five Most-Increased Plays: Ne-Yo - So Sick (+929) BeyoncΓ© Featuring Slim Thug - Check On It (+475) The Black Eyed Peas - Pump It (+466) Natasha Bedingfield - Unwritten (+420) Nelly Featuring Paul Wall, Ali & Gipp - Grillz (+418)
Top Five Most-Played Recurrents: Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc (2013) Papa Roach - Scars (1950) Mariah Carey - Shake It Off (1787) Kelly Clarkson - Behind These Hazel Eyes (1749) Rihanna - Pon de Replay (1729)

They've posted the Mon Dec 26 3:28 AM PST update.
Unfortunately, Alanis Morissette ends up at #51.
Most of the other data remained the same, except songs with Most Increased Plays. Strange... is "Jump" usually different from sorting the chart by Movement?

Strange... is "Jump" usually different from sorting the chart by Movement? The Monday 3:30 AM update is typically the first update toward the following week's chart though, so it's irrelevent. Yes, the two movements are different. Jump is based on the H1M panel, while sorting the H1R chart by movement will give you the Most-Increased Plays on the R&R panel. --DanG
