I don't think it's the radio doesn't want to play the song, it's that the label hasn't sent it out to stations. There's been no add date and there's not one set for the future, and the song doesn't appear on any previously released CD. The only way to know about it is through the TV commercials and internet downloading sites.

It's ridiculous that it doesn't have an add date though. Since he's already said it'll be on his next album (albeit, an improved version), you could consider it the lead single off the album (much like "Breakway" has retroactively been considered the lead off Kelly's sophomore effort). Regardless, J is being ridiculous by not setting up an add date for this. Already it has likely peaked on the Hot 100, even if the song were to manage Top 10 at Pop.

I wonder why the video is only 2 minutes and 30 seconds ish.
The mp3 I have is past 4 minutes.
Does anyone know what version is on the Tristan and Isolde soundtrack? I might buy it but I don't want to if the short version is on it.

It actually isn't on the Tristan & Isolde soundtrack. Not too sure why...
The original version of the song that he's been performing at concerts is actually over eight minutes long.

Maybe it's like the Chronicles Of Narnia and there'll be another soundtrack released from this movie composed mostly of instrumentals and this song?

Wow, it isn't on the soundtrack, then why the hell do they promote it on the commercials for the movie? Ugh. It's not even on any CD? I want this on CD real bad. Not downloaded.

Give me some blank CD's. Haha jk. But seriously, I don't like burned CD's. You have to turn the volume way up there to hear them at the regular CD volume.

Sales of digital downloads are creating different patterns on the Hot 100. Gavin Degraw's "We Belong Together" drops 26-75 this week as sales of paid downloads plummet. On the Hot Digital Songs chart, DeGraw's song drops 8-36.
I read the above at billboard, I was thinking at first there was a digital glitch with sales, but then I read that it only as 5 spins at pop...so who knows..this could be one of those songs that jumps around on the Hot 100.

I think this may be like Beverly Hills, You And Me, Feel Good Inc. Songs that are put up for downloads long before radio adds.... They debut, jump up into the Top 40, fall like a rock, and then stablize when airplay comes in.

Rick Dees played a clip of it this weekend on his Hot AC Top 40 show. It was an acoustic song based on the clip I heard.

Any possibilities that his label re release the song when his album comes out?

I imagine they'll opt to go with a new song, but you never know with this type of artist - hell, Gavin himself has had singles re-released to radio.

This song is too good to be ignored as a single. I think it has the potential to become a huge hit. And this is coming from someone who dislikes his other songs.

Its downloads proved that potential, but J never tried to realize it by sending the song for adds. I know Gavin wasn't happy with the way the song turned out, so I suppose it's possible he refused to let the song go for adds.

It went to iTunes and sold like crazy during that one period. I still don't see why it never went for adds. What would it have hurt? The downloads showed a good number of people liked the song. It sold that much with no radio airplay. I think it could've been a big hit, but it's too late now. A new song would be better.

Were interested in, not necessarily liked it because, well, how would they have known it without airplay?

Well, the fact that it was at the head of a massive marketing campaign for a major motion picture, seemingly on during every single commercial break, probably helped it out quite a bit.

That, along with hearing parts of it in TV commercials, would give someone a pretty good idea of whether or not they'd like the song before buying it.
