[/b]: Gorillaz[/quote] Bwah. And there are too many freaking songs that need to fall below #20 and give some new music a chance.

Mariah may drop below Natsha which would send "Unwritten" top 10!!

^ Natasha is gaining spins still (although you wouldn't know it thanks to the Cumulus mess), so I fully expect her to be in the top 10 by the end of the week. Especially with how fast Mariah is dropping.
That's assuming, of course, that Kelly or the BEP don't start speeding up.

Bullets should return back to normal on Friday, February 3... but I guess the real question now is will all Cox stations now be removed from the R&R panel too?

I think they will, but none of those stations seem to lean heavily one way or the other. So other than another week of wonky bullets, I don't think it will have much effect on the chart.

I think if those Cumulus stations were never removed, Gwen, Mary J., and definitely Rihanna would have bullets over 1000.

It's hard to believe songs like My Humps and Gold Digger are still on the chart. Incredible!

R&R will re-add Cumulus stations effective with the 2/10 chart, so all is well again (as much as it can be, anyway). Should help Natasha (*hopes*).

Just to be clear, the chart is only back to normal for now because Cumulus stations were still on the panel one week ago today. But beginning tomorrow, this won't be the case, and bullets will be temporarily inflated.
In other words...
Fri., Jan. 27 through Wed., Feb. 1: Lower bullets Thu., Feb. 2: Normal bullets Fri., Feb. 3 through Wed., Feb. 8: Higher bullets Beginning Thu., Feb. 9: Back to normal bullets

Neither song has a bullet.
I'm not picking on you here, but I've seen this mistake made by many people.
- There is no such thing as a negative bullet.
- A song can only have a bullet if it's gaining spins (if it has a to the left of the artist name).
- If a song's trend changes from -1000 to -800, the song's "bullet" is not "decreasing".

LOL on switching "negative bullets". Very common error in the Chart Methodology 101 midterm. ;)
What's the term for a bulleted song that is ranked lower than the week before due to songs jumping over? Is it a backward bullet?

According to R&R, a bullet is assigned to a song that has 0 gains or positive gains over the past week.

Wow! I didn't know the bullets would be this huge lol. Even 'Run It' and 'Sugar...' have bullets again!

Glad to see Saving Jane still hanging in there. But all these songs are passing them up. :(

I believe so. And here's one I invented: If a song doesn't have a bullet but gets pulled up a few notches due to songs falling faster (or songs going recurrent too), it's called the Vacuum Effect. Fat Joe did it with 'What's Luv?' in 2002 when he moved back up 6-3 without a bullet. It's common on weeks when a lot of songs go recurrent too. The there's recurrentitus, which doesn't happen as often as it used to, where a song would flop because the single that came before it (usually a lead single from an album) was so big that it prevented the second single from doing well.

I noticed that Stickwitu was getting spun 180 times in one week at KZCH... is that a record?

^Power 105 (Urban Station) in NYC was spinning Mariahs WBT 160 times a week. It was spun like after every other song and they played the remix right after the original sometimes.

Didn't some station play "Barbie Girl" for like 24 hours straight a few years ago?

Yep. She'll probably be passed by Rihanna, but with "My Humps" going recurrent she'll still end up at #30.
