I love ho AC always plays Xmas music each December.... are any big artists releasing AC-friendly Xmas albums this year? I'd love a new single from a good artist....
(BTW, I hated that "Christmas Shoes" #1 AC song a few years back)

Whitney Houston's new Christmas album should be one to watch. Her version of "Do You Hear What I Hear" from 1987 is usually a Christmas favorite on AC radio.

I think LeAnn Rimes also has a Christmas album coming out.

I love that song. It really moved me when I first heard it. I guess there are 2 reasons why I don't like it. 1) It's not very Christmas sounding... it sounds like aside from the lyrics referencing the holiday, it could be a song released any time of the year. 2) I look to Xmas music to feel happy and uplifted, etc and that song is really sad :(

Bette Midler has a new rendition of "White Christmas" on her "Rosemary Clooney Songbook" CD that could get some AC play during the holidays.

LeAnn Rimes' album has been pushed to 2004. Instead, her version of "O Holy Night" will be included on her Greatest Hits album.

I heard "The First Noel" from Whitney's CD and the vocals were really incredible. I'll definitely be picking up that CD.

One of our AC Stations (KGBX) goes all Christmas music sometime around Thanksgiving until New Year's (I think that is the time frame.) I love having a station to play when I am in the mood for music.
