I am really into this almost 20 year old and without turning this into a protracted story of feelings and hope and all, have decided to put together a CD at her request of stuff I listen to. She wants a guage of me as a person and I told her (since she's very into a lot of contemporary r&b) I would slap something together from 80s and on so she can see where I'm at. Well that's what she wanted, and she's gonna get it! All songs run the loose theme of 'you should be with me' and 'i should be yours' and 'get rid of your man' (she's in an unhappy relationship) and 'baby there isn't a pedestal high enough to place you while i worship you' (as in the case of rick and smokey song.) I can't possibly see the message whooooshing over her head, it's as subtle as a flying mallet as dave edmunds or nick lowe said. And without further ado, the track listing, 80 minutes that are going to make her just totally melt or go down to local courthouse to file a restraining order. So without further ado: if you were here tonight-alexander o'neal show me-howard hewett don't say no tonight-eugene wilde all the things your man won't do-joe kissing you-keith washington so amazing-luther vandross ebony eyes-rick james and smokey robinson one more day-new edition taste your love-horace brown with you-tony terry shining star-manhattans baby hold on to me-gerald and eddie levert i want to be your man-roger sensitivity-ralph tresvant oh honey-delegation sunrise-simply red any thoughts? about the CD I mean, I have all the dirty thoughts safely tucked into a chip in me ol brain!

Um ghett rid of Simply Red there brotha, for real. Otherwise you have an absolutely excellent collection there. Half of those songs would be the ones that I would pick for my potiential honeys, on the real. I grew up with that stuff. Oh yeah, "Sensitivity" is a little to broad and played outt, know whatta mean without the jellybean?
