This was a pretty decent vocal track from the group. Heather Small's vocals were the focal point of this song and many other songs from this group. sampleBy the way, this song was featured in the movie First Wives Club in the scene when the ladies go visit a gay club. It was the Tee's Freeze Mix that was featured in the movie.

One of 2 M people songs i like. Heather Small has a good voice, but it's hard to listen too for too long I find.
Their finest hour was "Don't Look Any Further".

I like most of the songs on Elegant Slumming. A few on Bizarre Fruit were alright, but anything after that I've found annoying. This is one of those songs I remember zooming up the chart at first, and then I think peaking at #16. I believe it went something like 40-30 in week 1, and made pretty nice gains after. Another song that had similar gains around the same time (that I loved as well) was "I Want You" by Juliet Roberts.

This one brings me back to 1994. I remember they had a bunch of songs on the World Chart Show like 'Sight For Sore Eyes'. Does anyone have a list of hits they've had after 'Movin' On Up'?

this was good but my favorite was ONE NIGHT IN HEAVEN which came out right after this in the USA. I really have liked many of their songs, including their cover of the Doobie Brothers "What A Fool Believes"... and "Testify" and really quite a few others.

One of the best 90s dance-pop songs. I remember seeing a snippet of this song on a 90s/early 2000s Dance CD complication commercial. I also remember hearing a remix version heard during weekend dance mix hours on both B96 and WGCI when I was younger. Surprisingly, I didn't see this song listed on any of B96's song surveys of 1994 despite being a type of record that station would had played as over half of what they were played on regular rotation at the time were dance/house/euro/freestyle records. music video www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkHOVJINRD8MK Movin' On Up mix youtu.be/txYvPrVRwMA
