OMG!!!!! Carrie's top 10!!!!! First country song in 5 years to do so!!!!!!!!!! Indeed. LeAnn Rimes' "Can't Fight The Moonlight" did it last in early 2002. And Lonestar's "Amazed", from 2000, is the only other country song to make the pop top 10 this decade.

It didn't even make the top 60 at country radio, so it isn't really a crossover song since it didn't crossover from anything. Didn't "Landslide" make the top 10 at Pop? It peaked at #9 on Top 40 Tracks. What is the difference between Top 40 Mainstream and Top 40 Tracks?

Landslide didn't make the Top 10. I think it got Top 20 though. Maybe #14 or something?
Do we have a quicklist of every country song (or at least every song by a country artist) to make the pop chart in the last 10 years? There've probably been about 20 or so. If I had my Excel file of pop charts extend beyond 2003 (it goes from like 1994-2003) then I'd be able to look into all of these interesting chart history questions.

Jez first jipped on Hot 100 and now on pop airplay too, ouch. That would suck if she didn't get it next week but she probably will..I dunno here comes Daughtry and Rihanna though. Dan?

What is the difference between Top 40 Mainstream and Top 40 Tracks? Top 40 Mainstream is only CHR/Pop and is ranked by spins. Top 40 Tracks combined the three Top 40 formats -- Mainstream, Rhythmic, and Adult (Hot AC) -- and was ranked by audience.

It seems weird to include Hot AC but not AC.

I, actually, made such a list just last year. I did so when Rascal Flatts hit the chart, as I was curious to know how many country acts had made the top 40 since I started keeping track of the pop chart (1992). I'll post it, soon as I can find it.

Awesome. There have been a few topics made in the last few days about it, I think, or at least one that chspchbi made but the title isn't descriptive. If you find the list, put it in that topic or make a new one so it will be easy to find and reference again if somebody wants to in the near future. :)

Could someone send me last night's final update? I wasn't able to save it last night, and it's not up on All Access.
