The only thing they got right was releasing Bleeding Love after that everything was a mistake, either wrong singles (I Will Be) or in the wrong order (Better in Time). They are also completely oblivious to any fan input unless it's blind praise.

I think sack this album era and release a hot collaboration with Kanye in time for Summer. That way she'll be in the pulbic eye until her lead single for the next album hits in Sept.

I hope they still release Forgive Me. Or I'd even be happy with Whatever It Takes.

I think she's done really well thus far in her career. Bleeding Love was a legendary hit and Better In Time hugely exceeded expectations. She's held her own against anyone else out there at this moment.

This most likely would have been a hit had it followed "Forgive Me". She desperately needed to switch things up and diversify her sound with the third single. They failed to do that with this choice so it isn't surprising to see it flop. This era is probably over now. Time for a new album.

they should just push Run at US radio, so what if its obscure or not on the album (is it?), at least its a good song and they can put it as a bonus track on her sophomore. FM is dreadful so no thanks.
PS. I really think she needs a double whammy with her new album, a smash upbeat track followed by a serious BL style ballad.

I agree. The label have their work cut out now. This era has proved that you need consistently high quality material--you can't feel secure after two successes and send out subpar singles.
I think the label will be pretty peeved with Z100 though. When the album was released they spun this track quite frequently, and now when it's a single they add it but don't show much support.

They spun it 4 times at the most. BTW, I heard it on their "now playing on Z100" ticker while driving today. yaaay.

Spirit era >>>>>>>>>> E=MC2 era I was actually comparing both of their debut eras, but ok. Well if you're comparing debuts, is it not logical to compare Mariah's UK debut era with Leona's US debut era? It seems slightly unfair and biased to compare Mariah's debut era in her home-territory with Leona's feats in a foreign country. Bleeding Love went #1 on the Hot 100. Vision Of Love reached #9 on the UK Singles Chart. Better In Time hit #11 on the Hot 100. Love Takes Time peaked at #37 on the UK Singles Chart. I Will Be has so far peaked at #66 on the Hot 100. Someday peaked at #38 on the UK Singles Chart. According to Wikipedia, Mariah Carey's debut album is 9X Platinum in the US. Leona's Spirit is 9X Platinum in the UK, in a much worse sales climate. Also the US is a much harder market for a new foreign singer to crack than the UK. Therefore, I think it is more than fair to say that Leona's debut era is just as successful, if not more successful, than Mariah's debut era.

I was just expanding your comment to look at the facts, which show that's she has been just as successful as Mariah at this point in her career. Why the rolling eyes? You were the one who wrote a silly-troll comment such as 'Next Mariah my ass" and then you roll your eyes when someone debates it. You shouldn't be on a music forum if you can't make constructive fully-backed points.

I'm not rolling my eyes at your facts, I'm rolling my eyes because I already explained that it was a joke and that I like Leona prior to your debate. I was just poking fun and making a sarcastic comment at 'I Will Be's performance and the fact that people always compare one person to another (like I usually do). That's it. Nothing more. It wasn't a troll comment and I don't need constructive fully-backed points when I was kidding around.

I agree, i think this would have been a hit if it was released after an uptempo to separate the ballads. But 3 ballads in a row- radio was just bored.

Alexandra Burke may even do better than her with single releases in the US.

Video pulled from VH1 Top 20 countdown. Either a glitch or they are getting ready to release another single. Hopefully the latter :)
