is this a cover of Janet's "CBTM?" If only! She'd make Bust It Baby look even trashier if she kicked butt on the remake. :) I love her voice, not sure how this will fare.

I have been an occasional fan of her for a few years now. I liked the four singles off of Exodus. While I did like how some of her other Japanese language material sounded in terms of melody and stuff, I don't know the language so there was some disconnect for me there. I'm really curious about this one. also, a song called 'Devil Inside' did decent on club charts. i remember she topped one of the club charts on Billboard... am i right? anyway i love the song but it was kinda scary. lol "Devil Inside" went to number one and "Exodus '04" peaked at 24 the following year. I recall "You Make Me Want To Be A Man" charting on the Club Play chart too but didn't find the peak for it. I used to hear some of her songs (remixed) at Abercrombie & Fitch.

OH LORD. LOL Is Utada's english better than Boa's or are they equal? Her english is as good as yours. She's from New York originally.

I wonder if she will work with some of the producers that she did in the past...
She has worked with Timbaland, Darkchild and The Neptunes. She has also had connections with Ne-Yo (featured on 'Do You' for release on Japan Itunes) and Bloodshy & Avant (they remixed her song 'You Make Me Want To Be A Man).
She might just go it alone though like with her recent Japanese works. :)

I'm excied for this!
As much as I love BoA and the amazing-ness that is "Eat You Up", Utada def. has a better chance at a U.S. breakthrough though I wish best of luck to both of them.
Namie Amuro should be the next Jpop starlet to try and make it in the U.S.

Namie and Ayumi are probably too old at this point. Ayumi also sounds horrific when she sings in English.

I love Koda as well, I'd love too see her give the U.S. a shot.
And Namie probably is too old to try and make a U.S. breakthrough now :( Shame cause her music has always been labeled as being "too american" and most of her songs if fully sung in English could be hits here.
"Come", "WANT ME, WANT ME", "Hide & Seek", & "CANT SLEEP, CAN EAT, IM SICK" are among my favorites of hers.

I love "Hide & Seek". And "WoWa". And basically everything she's ever done...

Namie Amuro should be the next Jpop starlet to try and make it in the U.S. I LOVE "Eat You Up." I hope both BoA and Utada have success here. As for the next Asian act to come to America, I would say the Wonder Girls if they could speak English a little better.

I love Utada! I would love it if this would get an even small amount of airplay.

I don't like this. It's semi-catchy though.

I love how she blasts Brintey and X-tina for not having any talent.

I'm liking this on the first listen. This has more potential than anything on Exodus.

I love it, but will it do anything? I'm not sure. I can see z100 hopping on it with enough support from other stations.

The song is very uhhhh... Japanese-y? Utada should remake 'First Love' for the US. I love that song!
