I loved Heart Station. yeah, totally agreed. she's one of the most talented artists of Asia and her last Japanese CD was amazing. 'Exodus' was pretty awesome too but i hope she does something more 'mainstream' that that this time...

I clearly remember one of her singles going for adds. I just looked at her tracklisting, and I think it was "Easy Breezy". She may have also sent the title track to radio, but I'm not sure about that one. There were a quite a few people here who thought she was going to be huge.

"You're easy breezy... and I'm Japanesy." Yep, it was definitely this one.

That was definitely my least favorite track. I don't think she'll find mainstream success with her image/sound. The best she can hope for is getting some love on the indie scene.

The best she can hope for is getting some love on the indie scene. yeah, i think so, too. i was kinda surprised by the material she released back in 2004. there were huge hypes around her US debut and some media reported that Island invested millions of dollars to produce and promote her album but her music was not radio-friendly or mainstream enough so the album, which was sold more than 1 million in her own country, sold about 10k-20k in first week in US... i've never thought that Island would release another Utada album!

I loved 'Easy Breezy'! I really hope this track will be awesome and an Asian artist can finally find some success on pop radio. BOA's and Se7en's debut singles are so lacklustre and they will no doubt flop hard.

I can't believe she's trying again :o I loved Exodus but don't really care for much of her japanese stuff. I wonder what direction she'll go in this time?

The only song from her to do anything for me chartwise was Sanctuary/Passion from Kingdom Hearts 2.

I hope we get to hear this song soon. It's wierd that Utada hasn't even mentioned anything about this song in her blog, or her official site.

I have a feeling the promotion will be weak for this project. The last one had great sounding songs that weren't promoted at all. American artists are doing very well on the charts right now and I don't think radio or labels will do much to expand their horizons going into 2009.

US radio plays much more music from foreign artists now than it did when Utada last released an album. Granted, most of them are British, but I definitely wouldn't suggest that radio has become more nationalistic lately.

The funny thing about Utada is that she isn't really a foreign artist. She was born and raised in New York. It's just really difficult for Asians to make it in the U.S.

Exodus was a decent album but the lyrics were completely appalling. It was like they'd been written by a Babelfish translator.
