Does this woman use the fountain of youth very often? Because she is AGELESS. :o :o She looks like she's in her mid-30's rather than 50! And I am literally anticipating this album so much - they haven't released a duff LP yet! The interesting thing about Sade is that it's not only her looks that are timeless... Her catalogue holds up exceptionally well. Listen to any of her early albums, and not one song sounds cheesy-Eighties-dated or "oldies" I think that Sade Adu and Annie Lennox are the two most talented women to emerge from the mainstream pop music scene of the eighties. Soldier Of Love is classic Sade, yet sounds current, with that propulsive beat, and those staccato, almost industrial riffs. I love this woman, and I love this band... I bet you the anticipation for this will be enough to have the album debut at # 1. Too bad pop radio won't touch this. It would be nice to have smart, substantial music climb the pop charts, like back in the eighties, when people like Tina, Sade, and Anita baker would comfortably co-exist atop the charts with all the teenyboppers.

I was listening to "By Your Side" today and I kept thinking the instrumentation and beat (not the vocal melody) sounded like some song I had heard before, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Then it finally hit me that it reminded me of The Flaming Lips' "Fight Test"! Has anyone else noticed this before? Of course "Fight Test" came out a few years after "By Your Side," so I'm not accusing Sade (or even the Flaming Lips) of stealing anything, but I couldn't help notice the similarities in the instrumentation.
Oh, I love "Soldier of Love," by the way. The percussion is killer!

Can't wait to get this. I may actually go out and buy the actual cd instead of buying it on iTunes.

LEAKED b itches! God, this album will be perfect for February and once Spring arrives, it'll be even more apt to play all season long. The production on some of the tracks is lovely, like "Skin" for example - very '90s! The album in general is very consistent - it's like they never even left.

I'm really really feeling this album. Sade always comes with the goods. I'm not saying that out of respect either. Her album is certainly lovely. I would be shocked if she doesn't get any love for the 2011 Grammy Awards.

"Skin" is very Mainstream 90's R&B/AC ballad, I actually find it a tad generic but it's still very good.
"The Moon & The Sky" is just lush and it has a classic Jazz/R&B sound
"In Another Time" is very 60/70's R&B i love the production, and her vocals on this trakck

I think she will open up with strong numbers. She has a line of appearances, including 106 & Park, coming up.

I just read that Sade listens to Raekwon! LOL, she is so awesome.
Anyway, I can't wait to listen to this. I was thinking I might wait until I actually but it.

Sade loves Alicia Keys! haha.
Anyway, "Soldier of Love" is addictive, love it now. As for the album, it starts off promising and then it doesn't move me at all. Hopefully it grows on me.

This will be the first album of Sade's I have ever purchased. I grew up listening to her (Diamond Life is still unimpeachable) and I love her last studio album as well. Can't wait!
