Let me listen before I pass judgment. *goes to listen* This probably deserves consideration for dumbest post of year. You must have not seen the Random Thoughts thread that was locked.

Glad this is slow and a potential flop on pop for Em.... I remember when he said something to the effect about moby being a 36 yo baldheaded f_g, it's over you're too old...or whatever, look whos starring that down now. RETIRE! It's over, you're too old!

Great point. I loved Em throughout his first few albums, up until 8 Mile, but I can't see him ever being relevant again.

Um, what? How is this a slow and potential flop? LOL it is already top 50 on pop in less than 2 weeks. And there are many rap artists around his age or older (Jay-Z especially) who are doing just fine. His greatest hits album still sold 2,000+ copies last week. And for the 15th time now THIS IS NOT EVEN AN OFFICIAL SINGLE.

Well, Em is the one that put a sell by date on an artist...no reason he shouldn't expect the same...Single or not, if he was in demand on radio he'd be racing to the top....like a few other hugely popular artist are. All artist have a peak in popularity, and his was reached a long time ago. This could still do well and I see is doing decent on rythmic, but I don't have huge expectations for this on pop. Now roll your eyes some more...

I like Em I dont think hes too old.. I do however think he should come with something AAALLLOOOT different with his "official if this one doesnt take off first single" Something more fun. Hes been gone for soo long.

First single or not, its a very anticlimactic return for Eminem. Releasing such a lackluster track to radio and throwing two of his best buddies on it with sub-par verses is not the way to please fans after so long. I am losing interest in his new record.

When people say that Eminem hasn't had any hit in a long time... are they forgetting that he was included in the Top5 hit "Smack That" a couple of years ago? I know it was an Akon song, but Eminem was in there with an identifiable part, too.

Not even that, but he had 2 huge singles from his greatest hits in 2005.

His verse on that song was terrible.

I think people are referring to the fact that he hasn't had a Top 10 CHR/Pop hit as a lead artist in four years, which is an eternity for a rapper.

^^Yeah I'm just saying I first noticed his lyrical ability had hit rock bottom when I heard his verse on Smack That. His rap was just random words thrown together with no meaning whatsoever.

people here are so ridiculous. most people just post false information and make up information. its pathetic how people cannot look up information, become informed and then post something intelligent.

Why is he even relevant anymore? Isn't he almost 40?

Why is he even relevant anymore? Isn't he almost 40? Hun, he is 36. Jay-Z is 39. DMX is 38. E-40 is 41. Akon is 35. Ice Cube is 39. Dr. Dre is 43. Snoop Dogg is 37.

Only Snoop has had a hit recently, and Akon is a singer.

Jay has had hits recently. and this isnt about hits. It is about relevance. The artists I listed are very relevant. They have mainstream / underground big followings.

I finally heard this and it reminds me of their last collabo "Encore". It's alright.

That is all this is, just a buzz cut. It isn't even confirmed to be on the album actually.

Then why did they even bother releasing this? Buzz singles are so pointless imo. Just come out with a full bang and call it a day.

To test the waters. See how people would welcome Em back. It is also used to help re-established Dr. Dre and even 50 Cent.
50 Cent because his latest singles are not doing amazingly well, and Dre because he's been absent for so long. This is just to let everyone know that bigger and better things are coming from all three in 2009.
