This got a decent # of active rock adds, surprisingly. Maybe Rise Against paved the way for punk to become more of an active-leaning format. If that's the case though, I'm surprised "Screaming Bloody Murder" didn't get more love than it did on active.

I'm not so sure if that's the case. I mean I'm hoping so since I'm in a market with only an Active station and would personally love to hear some punk mixed in with only nu-metal and post-grunge being played. It could just be because they've had so much success in the past, but I believe that was only on Alternative. I didn't follow the Active charts in their prime days, so I'm not sure.

This is stalling on iTunes much lower than I would have expected. I thought this would have sailed to the Top 5 on iTunes, even if only for a day.
Then again, it's odd to me that the label wouldn't shell out to have an ad or link on the iTunes front page for the first new blink single in 8 years.

I'm a little disappointed that they waited 8 years to launch a new era, and they go and choose the same week as a RHCP lead single.... this is getting overshadowed. A month ago it would have been a surefire #1 at Alternative.

Mark tweeted about driving to the video shoot only a few days ago. I wouldn't expect it for another couple weeks.

Glad it's Top 5! I really hope it can stick around long enough to have a shot at #1 after the Chili's start to burn out.
This is tanking on iTunes though. It's almost out of the Top 200 :(

I'll just say what I just said out loud to myself "That is a freaking awesome album cover! It goes right with the title! Whomever the graphic designer was used layers up the wahzoo for this. Goddamn man..."

:o :o :o This song is even better than "Up All Night." Wow. It completely blew me away. This album may be better than "Cheshire Cat" and "Dude Ranch," which were two of my all-time favorite albums.

I like it alot. I dunno which one I like more, because honestly they're two completely different styles. They're both really really good.

I think this will probably be like a break track to switch up the flow of the album because it's so straight up punk.

Mark's vocals don't really make it seem like an aggressive punk song like say you'd hear from Rise Against or AFI, but this is probably the least poppy I've ever heard them before.

The other two tracks, "Ghosts On the Dancefloor", and "After Midnight" sound like they could be straight off the self titled, imo. After Midnight sounds slightly like +44, while Ghosts on the Dancefloor has more of that techno beat. This is based on live videos, btw. Very intrigued to see how the whole album sounds together.

Here's the tracklisting for the album (but not necessarily in the right order, according to Mark.)
1) Ghost on the Dance Floor 2) A La Mode 3) This is Home 4) Snake Charmer 5) MH 4.18.2011 6) Even if She Falls 7) You Too 8) Up All Night 9) After Midnight 10) Natives
Deluxe Edition: 11) Kaleidoscope 12) Fighting the Gravity 13) Heart's All Gone
Intriguing. I personally think Up All Night should be the opener. It sounds like an opener, imo. Good thing this isn't the official order.

Today, it reached the top 3 on Mediabase Alternative:
(LW / TW / Artist / Song / TW Spins / LW Spins / Bullet / Audience Impressions / Stations Playing) 4 / 3 / BLINK-182 / Up All Night / 1505 / 1400 / +105 / 5.796 million / 56.

So weird that "Heart's All Gone" is only on the Deluxe version. I know which version I'll be getting now!
Also only 10 (13) tracks after eight years? Damn. Their last album had 16.

And it's a new age. Most albums are lucky if they're not 10 tracks. Me, I don't know anyone in their right mind who wouldn't get the deluxe, so I'm saying 13 tracks.

Yeah, I always get the deluxe when faced with that decision. I mean, for just a dollar or two more, I get 3-4 extra songs, plus sometimes theres a whole other CD or DVD included.
So, Deluxe/Special >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Regular

I guess Mark revealed the final tracklist sometime yesterday. I guess when he posted all of those tracks out of order, he didn't keep the bonus tracks separate. So Heart's All Gone is included in the main album.
1. Ghost on the Dancefloor 2. Natives 3. Up All Night 4. After Midnight 5. Snake Charmer 6. Heart's All Gone - Interlude 7. Heart's All Gone 8. Wishing Well 9. Kaleidoscope 10. This is Home 11. MH 4.18.2011 12. Love is Dangerous 13. Fighting the Gravity 14. Even if She Falls
