Eh, another mediocre choice. This is a decent album, but I haven't liked any of their single releases this era. Just release "Very Last Country Song" already.

Eh, I don't like this song.
But on the bright side, imagine my surprise to find out that I'll actually get to see a country concert here in Naples, Italy...and it's Sugarland. I've never seen them live but have wanted to. They're coming in March.

^ Good for you! I wonder how many would actually go watch the concert though. I lived in Germany for 6 months once, and even the biggest music stores I went to usually only held a few copies of country CDs. And those are usually the Johnny Cash/Dolly Parton type of artists.

I think they need to take a break between each single. Won't listeners get sick of hearing their music? I'm sure money is also a factor though.
Then again, radio will probably play the heck out of them no matter how often they release singles.

Well there was a month between peak and debut of All I Want to Do and Already Gone. I want to say the same for this single. It's not a big break but still longer then they did the last album where they seemed to release right on top of each other.

^Yeah. Didn't they pull "Everyday America" to release "Stay"?

I think they did. I remember the only other single they pulled for the next single, Down in Mississippi to release Want to. It seemed with the first two albums they released right on top of each other. Between Stay and All I Want to Do there was a four month break. Sure they had Life in a Northern town on the radio but it wasn't pushed by the label. But like I said, with this album they are averaging it seems a month or so between peak of a single and debut/release of the next single. The label to me seems like they are trying to keep it slow and steady. They are already on single #3 and they average 4 singles. Here's to hoping they will release a few more after this single Sugarland has been writing but Jennifer herself said not to expect anything for at least a year to a year and half.

That song was climbing then all of sudden the bottom fell out on it and the label stopped pushing. And it seemed like if I remember correctly about a week and half or so after Want To was sent out a big push. I could be wrong though. I'm going off my faulty memory ha.

I wish mississippi had gone Top 10. It is their only single not to do so.

Sugarland will be taping not only Oprah this week but an hour long episode of Soundstage next week. I think both of those are pretty tapings in a way. Seems like some good promotion is on its way over the next few months, hopefully for this single.
How is the song doing? It seems to be moving quite nicely. Could it be the fastest moving song to date for them?

I like this song too. But does it really count as "clever" (as the reviewer says) that they combine the "sh" sound at the end of one almost-word and the "it" at the beginning of the title? In what sense is it clever?
It's obvious. It's predictable. (Didn't you expect it to be there as soon as you heard the song's title?) It's unoriginal. It adds nothing to the song. It wears thin after two repetitions. All of those, yes. But clever?
Still, Jennifer's great and I do like the song.

I don't know about you, but I sometimes use "pssh" as an interjection. Yes, it's much less clever than "Some Beach", but it's only one small part of the song, so it doesn't bug me either. (By the way, since when is "absolutable" is a word? Is that from the Jeffrey Steele/Al Anderson dictionary, which also includes "gottahaveable"?)

I bet there will not be a music video now since it's already near the top 10...I hope I'm wrong though, because this would make an awesome music video!

This should give Sugarland its third #1 single from Love On The Inside in another two or three weeks.

It's hard to believe there is no video for this. I think they have had a video for every single thus far in their career. I suppose you gotta save money somewhere.

I was wondering why I hadn't read anything about the "sh" and "it" being a problem at country radio while some PDs at top 40 had a big problem with Britney's "If You Seek Amy." Granted, country radio isn't juvenile like top 40 radio is (that could be the underlining difference right there).

I just love this. Hearing it all the time! Sounds so good on the air. Funny at first as an album track I didn't care for it.

I used to think they should go with "Take Me As I Am", but now I'm thinking it may be too agressive... I don't know what they should release right now, but I'm afraid they could goe with "Love" and I just don't like that option.

I highly doubt it will be "Love" -- because i think they would've released it already.
"Very Last Country Song" is possible, but i'm not sure how that would do as a single...
I'm still hoping for "Joey"

I'd love to see We Run released next. It's a good summery/first love song, to me it is. It's uptempo and to me perfect for the summer. A local PD hinted that they got something testing a few songs with them for the next single. No songs were named but it seems they plan on jumping the gun on the next single as soon as this one peaks unlike the month long gap between Already Gone and this single.

In all honesty, they really need to release a ballad. I think Keep You or What I'd Give would work best, although I really like Very Last County Song as well.

Those are my three favorite tunes on the disc. I'll be disappointed if at least one of them is not released as a single.

Keep You does already have a video made. It was shot last year the same time they did All I Want to Do. So that is a possibilty. Jennifer made it sound like WIG wouldn't be a single, it was just done at the ACM's to promote the album to the average viewer. Then again, that's what Stay at the CMT's was about and that became a single.
