It's tough to say what the next single should be, because there are so many good possibilities. While I think that "Very Last Country Song" should be a single at some point, my choice for the next single is definitely "Take Me As I Am".

This song is coming up as #1 on BDS. I know it doesn't mean much since there are still a few days left but it looks like it could be making a leapfrog jump over Carrie and Randy.

I like this song too. But does it really count as "clever" (as the reviewer says) that they combine the "sh" sound at the end of one almost-word and the "it" at the beginning of the title? In what sense is it clever? It's obvious. It's predictable. (Didn't you expect it to be there as soon as you heard the song's title?) It's unoriginal. It adds nothing to the song. It wears thin after two repetitions. All of those, yes. But clever? Still, Jennifer's great and I do like the song. It's supposed to be a "pssh". I don't know about you, but I sometimes use "pssh" as an interjection. Yes, it's much less clever than "Some Beach", but it's only one small part of the song, so it doesn't bug me either. (By the way, since when is "absolutable" is a word? Is that from the Jeffrey Steele/Al Anderson dictionary, which also includes "gottahaveable"?) While I'm here, might as well respond to this. I think in a cappella singing the "pssh" sound is very commonly used for percussion effects. But here it's just an excuse for a juvenile departure from Jennifer's usual good sense. (Even Billboard thinks it's cute. I'm just being cranky.) If you use it as an interjection, more power to you. And obviously "absolutable" isn't a word, but on the other hand they get extra credit for "irrefutable," so it comes out even. Looks like it's getting to #1 a week early. Next week is safe even if Carrie rallies over the weekend.

They have now notched up three number one singles from Love On The Inside. Hopefully they make that four before ending the era. Both of their prior albums have had four singles, and I tend to believe this album will stop at four too. Though one never does know since this album has seen great radio success; maybe a fifth single is in the plans. It will be interesting to see what they release for the summer.

I think this will have five singles. I'd like Take Me As I Am as fourth and then Very Last Country Song as the closing single, a la Stay.

^ I still think "Joey" will be released sooner or later... And this is the third time in the last two pages that you have said as much. For future reference, once was enough. I'd love to see We Run released next. It's a good summery/first love song, to me it is. It's uptempo and to me perfect for the summer. I agree. "We Run" is one of the songs on Love on the Inside that has aged well for me (and it was one of my favorites on the album to start). It would be nice to having a single from Sugarland that I can actually root for (from this album, "Already Gone" is the only one I've liked to begin with, but I tired of it). In the meantime, I'm impressed by this song's chart run. Its airplay outpaces its callout and downloads, but country radio certainly embraced it. It took quite the huge one-day leap in yesterday's update, which surprised me.

On the last page I was asking a question, and saying that I hoped "Joey" would be the next single. Today I was just adding that if there were 5 singles from the album (which would mean two more) then I think it would get released sooner or later. I'm sorry, I apologize about having trouble following the guidelines...I just have trouble thinking clearly a good part of the time.

I think "We Run" and "Take Me As I Am" (in that order) will be the remaining singles from this album.

Anyway, it looks like this could spend 2-3 weeks at #1 depending on how hard the label pushes it.

I hope this lasts at #1 for a few weeks. This is my favorite song to hit the top in quite some time (maybe even in the last 6 months).

I just looked over country aircheck and it has Carrie all over it as #1 with congratulations mention and 2 thank you's to radio ad's. Is Carrie just #1 on mediabase and country aircheck? Or did she somehow manage to get the BB/R&R. I looked in the BB thread and it said Sugarland for #1. This just confusing me a little.

In an attempt to answer this without fan-war, Sugarland made it to #1 on Billboard (based on audience) and Carrie made it to #1 on Mediabase (based on spins + audience + station weight). Interestingly, according to Radio and Records, Sugarland beat Carrie by a margin of 200,000 listeners. That's quite a bit more than I had expected. Good race to the finish to watch, though.

I wasn't trying to start anything! I swear. I was just asking because I was a little confused is all. But that's what I thought. Just all the mentioning of Carrie having #1 and none of Sugarland made me scratch my head. I agree it was interesting to watch! I don't think I've been this into watching a battle for number one since 2 years ago, almost exactly when it was Settlin' and Stand. That one coming down to going several numbers off the decimal point of AI.

Looks to me that this could be number one for three weeks. What's the record for them?

I want to say 2 weeks with Want To and Already Gone. I'm not sure about the others. I think they were all one-weekers.

I find Nettles voice really shrill/cloying on this song. Not sure what happened. I'm surprised it went to #1 so quickly.
"Keep You" is easily my favorite on the CD. Looove it.

My guess would be 2 weeks at #1...I think Brad will then take over the rein.

I got a rate the music survey awhile back testing Joey, We Run, Last Country Song, Take Me As... and one other slipping my mind. I'd love two more singles! I rem. doing the survey and having a very hard time picking just one that I would want released. Congrats on the #1. It happened! Yay!! Hopefully 3 weeks!

If I had to pick of those, I would chose Joey and Take Me As I Am - although We Run is also nice. I really don't care as long as Take Me As I Am gets released at some point. It's my favorite song of theirs! And I know this is off topic, but has anyone heard the new songs they are performing live? "Blood On Snow" "Take Me For A Ride" And "That's How I Like It" all sound great - especially "Blood on Snow"
Anyways, so glad they've had 3 number ones in a row off this album!

Did anyone notice that the songs that got played in concert early before the LOTI release, for the most part did not end up being singles. It Happens is the exception I believe. If they follow suit, none of the three mentioned in the post above mine are likely to end up released in the next cycle.

I hope they release a slow song at some point. While Keep You is my favorite and Fall Into Me a close second, I would be happy to hear Very Last Country Song on the radio. I think that would make a good album closer. I don't even know which other single I would like. I'm not all that fond of We Run. Joey is ok but not my favorite either. I never had that much love for Take Me As I Am either but I think I would prefer that of those 3. I think I'd rather hear What I'd Give--it's a more interesting song to me.
I sincerely hope Jennifer recovers ok. I really want to hear her at my Keith Urban concert in August. Looking forward to maybe hearing some of the new songs they've been doing.

The only song I would be very upset if they released is "What I'd Give" (or "Wishing" as well if we count the Deluxe Edition). All the rest of the songs on the album are at least decent. I am not a big fan of "Keep You" or "Very Last Country Song", but others here seem to love them, and maybe they could pull a "Stay" and be big singles. Idk though. My wish would be to release "Fall Into Me" and then "Take Me As I Am" to close the album. But I think it's unlikely that "Fall Into Me" will be released since its only on the Deluxe Edition.

Funny, as to me What I'd Give and Wishing are 2 of the best tracks on that CD.

What would be very appropriate, is if Sugarland goes to #1 with their next single, to give them four in a row from Love On The Inside, and then decide to release a fifth to try to tie that record from one album by Rodney Crowell. And that might then coincide with when the second single from Carrie Underwood's next album comes out (guessing that single would run from October to January, after Carrie's lead single runs from July to early October). And it would be interesting to see if Carrie could go for some revenge and block that fifth release of Sugarland's, to also deny them the chance for five #1s from one album. All's fair in love and charts...!

I think for sure that Take Me As I Am will be the next single. Although, they could put out What I'd Give as a counter-summer song. If they really want that 4th #1 off this record, and to sell more records....Take Me As I Am is the way to go.
