They must be combining both versions for Hot 100 purposes, because there is no way this would have debuted on the Hot 100 already otherwise. This should see a major jump next week.

It's credited to A.R. Rahman & The Pussycat Dolls, so they must be combining them.

haha that's weird... it looks like PCD should be getting another hit next week, probably top 20 when both versions are combined

Yeah...and PCD is on one...they'll have an illigitimate hit carried by the success of the original...If they promote this one right, it'll be a hit on its own.

OMG! :o :o :o A couple of BIG imprecissions that I have been reading in the past 2 pages Let's start with my opinions on the last one I read: Yeah...and PCD is on one...they'll have an illigitimate hit carried by the success of the original...If they promote this one right, it'll be a hit on its own. There is NOTHING illegitimate to counting this and the original as ONE. It has always been like that with Remixes and Originals, UNLESS those are completely different songs. For example: JLo's "remixes" of Ain't It Funny and I'm Real were 2 completely different songs and they shouldn't have counted as ONE song (they did and Billboard changed the rule afterwards). WHen the song is almost the same, BOTH versions should and will be counted as one. Example: both versions of Until the End of Time, Justin solo and the duet Justyonce, counted as one. The PCD version has adapted vocals and lyrics, but the song is recognizably the same as the original.

The other comment I simply don't get is when Pulsers are mad against NICOLE for this "featuring" idea. The impression I got from them is that Nicole is the tyrannic leader of PCD, the Dominatrix that shuts the f**k up to the other members and wants to do all the jobe by herself and doesn't allow anyone to participate, and now NOT ONLY THAT, but she also wants to highlight her name from the group... so she practically wants to ruin the group. What evil and unfair that Flopzinger!!! :o ??? ??? The idea for me has always been the opposite. She practically has been the one minimized and TAKEN CREDIT of the group. What have the other Dolls contributed to (almost) all the other hits of PCD?! well, besides their skin, booties, undies, and other images. Nicole was not only responsible of the LEAD vocals but also the BACKGROUND vocals of most of the songs of the "group"... so it has almost always been a SOLO vocal effort background with dancers. And from what I have heard of the other members: better that way! LOL. Of course, I know that part of the charm of the group is the image... and their success is also due to that factor. However, from that to say that Nicole is doing something against PCD is unfair and unrealistic to say the least. I would say that all the other members of PCD have been favoured by the voice and talent of Nicole, so that they can at least receive credit for the success of the group when they contributed next to nothing. I get that the whole "featuring" may be ridiculous since Nicole IS the PCD, but at least that credit seem MUCH fair to me than only recognizing PCD as a group act when only ONE does everything.

They shouldn't be combining sales...none of the main lyrics are the same...its now a different language and singer...so...Should "Never Ever" by Ciara contribute to Harld Melvin & The Blue Notes "If You Don't Know Me By Now..."?????

No, but the lead artist is different on those two songs. Both of these are credited to A.R. Rahman, and the music maintains basically the same feel and structure. The lyrics and featured vocalists change some, but that's Billboard's definition of a remix as opposed to a separate recording.

I'm guessing they're counting this as a remix to the original. There are certain criteria to qualify as a remix to count both versions together. And Cisus Walks, your logic is flawed. AR Rachmad is credited in this "remix." Who else do you want credit to go to?

It should be treated seperately if this is PCD's new single...Its not like "Bottle Pop" is out...So...They should be treated seperately...and honestly the whole thing with remixes is stupid...The Jennifer Lopez songs were completely different songs...

That's probably somewhere about #60 by now (Perhaps we'll see if UTR puts up 51-100 sometime tomorrow). Anyone think this could make the Top 50 by Sunday's chart once recurrents are removed?

There will be a video. There was a picture that was posted a few pages back on this thread. Nicole even said in an interview they just shot it last weekend somewhere in Europe during the middle of their tour.

If Interscope TRULY thinks Nicole can be a big solo star, even with her HORRENDOUS last name, then they need to get the top producers and songwriters this year to get her HIT SONGS for her new album. Drop the single in October, the CD in December and call it a day. Last names mean nothing. Look at Christina Aguilera.

And I don't pay attention to pettiness, that's why I know nothing about Cisus Walks, or COW. I do, however, pay attention to good music, and I can't stop listening to this. No. It's both. At the time the digital sales tracking week closed, the PCD version hadn't even been released. i dont think its right that they combine them. they're two different songs. agree, didn't Robin Antin specifically say it wasn't a remix, it was an interpretation... therefore, shouldn't it be treated as a cover and chart separately?
