Well, even though some easy counter-arguements to that would be: Isn't predicting early as you can in the week also favoring people with more time? I know sometimes I can't predict till Tuesday due to work & home stuff, ect. And I do bold everyone that has the highest and it was you 3. I shoulda probably dropped the whole 'position talk' like it was a chart lol. As noted, I don't even put # positions, just whoever has the highest points. No, my point is that the day matters, while the time within the day does not. Someone who makes his or her picks on Tuesday has an advantage over someone who does so on Monday because the chart is updated. However, someone who makes his or her picks at 8 PM on Monday, as I did last week, does not have an advantage over someone who makes his or her picks at 4 PM on Monday because they're going by the same exact chart. I don't mind the way you do the scoring currently, I just don't think ties should be broken by time of post when comparing posts made on the same day (unless the second poster copied the chart of the first poster).

My thought was that the person that predicts second to someone else has an advantage by referring to both the chart AND the previous person/people's predictions. Although I doubt that makes a big difference but when it comes to predicting just the Top 10, there really isn't that much leeway anyhow.

This isn't my first time playing. I "bomb"ed a couple of other times though. I never understood this but why do we always predict when Monday's numbers come out? Why do we predict what will happen in 6 updates rather than 7? It would be to no one's advantage if we predicted when Sunday's numbers come out and it would make the game a lot harder some weeks when it might end up being really close. Oh sorry about that then, flop debut introduction lol! Well then you made a great comeback! We predict on Monday cuz, like DanG points out - there's hardly and some weeks virtually no difference between the Sunday AM and Sunday PMs, thus its better to give a new fresh Monday update to guess. It also gives people 24 hours instead of 6 since the Sunday AM technically is NOT the final update. Also makes sense since Monday is usually everyones start of a new week (except for me, that's my weekend ) My thought was that the person that predicts second to someone else has an advantage by referring to both the chart AND the previous person/people's predictions. Although I doubt that makes a big difference but when it comes to predicting just the Top 10, there really isn't that much leeway anyhow. That's the reason I did it that way in the first place. Especially last week I noticed that. If you see a couple people predicting, it gives you more confidence as to when starting it. Therefore I thought that should get the advantage - but since that would be assumption and like you said there's not much leeway anyhow since its only 10 positions instead of like 20 or 40 then DanG's arguement would make sense. Like I said early posters were given a double advantage since they already get an advantage for posting on Monday - unfair to those who don't have that much freetime (raises hand!). So the solution (that I'm coming up with the point technicalities of it) would be for it to go over to a 3 pointed system. Therefore there would be 3 seperate advantages (position guessing, getting in early in the week and how many positions off were you). Therefore someone guessed the #2 song would be #9 and someone guessing the #2 would be #3 wouldn't tie in points.
