I like this song, but that's it. It doesn't do much for me though. I hope this isn't as big as Right Round.

Sorry this is gettin really cheap...one song with hook taken from older song is alright IMO, but two singles in a row, both with hooks taken from other songs - IMO it's basically like buildin a career off remakes - just can't see the talent in it...

Worst song of 2009 so far!
Flo Rida's career is OVA with this one. Done.

Go away. It sickens me that he went on a family television show and sang a song about receiving fellatio.

If we're being technical, Kanye West did. So has Cascada, really.

Most rap hits have sampled songs. The only difference here is that Pulse members actually know the two songs Flo Rida has sampled.

He took the melody, beat, HOOK, LYRICS and overall theme from the other songs... which makes it closer to a remake than a sample. And he did it twice in a row.

He took the melody, beat, HOOK, LYRICS and overall theme from the other songs... which makes it closer to a remake than a sample. And he did it twice in a row. Um, outside of the samples, RR and this sound NOTHING like the those songs. And I didn't know that You Spin Me Round was about oral sex, and I sure as heck didn't know Blue was about some attractive girl. This one doesn't even use the sample as the hook, so it's really ludicrous to suggest that this is essentially a rehash of Blue. It's just a freakin 15 second sample for effect. I'm not a Flo Rida fan by any means (Low's one of my least favorite #1's of the decade) but jeez this "lets burn him at the stake!" attitude of some is really stupid. Sampling has been going on the whole damn decade people, and it's been abused FAR worse than in RR and this song. Hell, I'd say Madonna's Hung Up abuses it's sample much more than these two songs. Obviously these type of songs are made solely for the purpose of being catchy pop-hop, not for any substance. There are far bigger offenses being committed in music right now than anything Floi Rida's doing.

Most rap hits have sampled songs. The only difference here is that Pulse members actually know the two songs Flo Rida has sampled. Bigger difference though is IMO he bases the entire hooks of his last two singles (including lyrics/vocals) on sampled songs (instead of just using samples as background music)...Will Smith, Puff Daddy, etc. used to do it also, but not on more than one single from the same CD...

This song doesn't even revolve around the sample. The song would be fine without it.

The sample is mostly obnoxious. I loved the Original song, and for a 90's dance track I didn't think it could get anymore cheesy or grating, but Flo-rida managed to do it with an AWFUL female vocalist and auto-tune that makes her highest note make my eyes squint and close hoping my ears will follow suit.
Hope this peaks outside of the top 10. I've got nothing against Flo-Rida, have loved all four of his singles up until this one.

Kanye did not only do it with Stronger. He used very few samples on 808s&Heartbreak (only on Robocop right?). But Cant Tell Me Nothin, Stronger, Good Life, Diamonds, Gold Digger etc all have samples or at least heavy elements of past hits.
