Susan Boyle Tops Amazon.com Chart with Debut Album At last Susan Boyle has achieved her own personal dream. The Scottish star's debut album, I Dreamed A Dream, has sensationally topped the online-retail charts, quite a feat considering her record is not even being released until Nov. 24. Thousands of eager fans have already pre-ordered the record on Amazon.com, just days after the release was announced. That's resulted in Boyle's climbing to the top of the charts, beating heavy hitters Whitney Houston and the Beatles to the top spot. After auditioning on Britain's Got Talent last April, Boyle, 48, became an overnight superstar with her heartwarming performance, receiving more than 11 million hits on YouTube. Fans such as Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher sang her praises. But all Boyle ever wanted was a career in doing what she did best. "I would love to be a professional singer," she told PEOPLE after her winning audition, adding with an air of uncertainty, "but we'll see what happens." www.people.com/people/article/0,,20302536,00.html

Apparently, her album will feature a cover of Madonna's "You'll See".

Really surprised at how quick this shot to #1 on Amazon, especially the album being so far out yet. If that's any indication, she could shock us all and end up being the big seller of this holiday season. :o

Her first dream – winning Britain's Got Talent – didn't come through. But nothing will keep Scottish singing phenom Susan Boyle's second wish – to perform in America – from coming true. Boyle, 48, is taking some time off from completing her album, due on Nov 24, to jet across the Atlantic and perform in the States next week. She will appear on the America's Got Talent finale on Sept. 16, PEOPLE has learned. The songstress from the small town of Blackburn in West Lothian, Scotland, has had special dress fittings earlier this week so she can look her glamorous best for the show. She's even started to tell friends of her excitement. Her American appearance will build on the remarkable buzz around her. She has already shown her career's enormous potential, as the I Dreamed A Dream album has topped the Amazon.com's pre-order charts. Boyle is still working on her upcoming album and has recorded the Madonna song "You'll See," PEOPLE confirms. She is thought to have chosen the song herself. Her collection will also likely include tunes such as the Les Miserables hit that made her such an overnight sensation on Britain's Got Talent. She eventually finished second in the contest. www.people.com/people/article/0,,20303269,00.html

Susan's rendition of "Wild Horses" is being praised just everywhere...I read comments in very different forums and blogs and like 90% of them are fairly positive.
This album will be HUGE by Thanksgiving / Christmas time.

It's a repulsive cover. I think they were trying to go in the direction of The Sundays' version, but Susan's is completely characterless and void of emotion, and the melody changes they went with are hideous.

Susan Boyle to Appear on Dancing with the Stars Susan Boyle is set to dazzle the Dancing with the Stars crowd – with her singing, not her dancing feet. The Scottish singer, 48, will fly to Los Angeles for an appearance on the hit show early next week, her rep tells PEOPLE. "She's excited and happy," says her brother, John Boyle. "She loves America and loves the people. She appreciates their honesty." Boyle, who made a previous U.S. appearance on America's Got Talent last September, will likely sing material from her upcoming CD, I Dreamed A Dream, due out Nov. 24. And she is beginning – on a modest scale – to enjoy the fruits of her recent labors: Boyle bought a three-piece sofa and recliner set in burgundy leather for her small home in Blackburn, Scotland, and a new refrigerator. "Moneywise, she's very frugal," says her brother. He adds, "She wasn't happy staying in London full-time. She can walk around in Blackburn. Just say, 'Hi' and 'How's it going?'to the locals." www.people.com/people/article/0,,20318366,00.html

^^ I think they could've done a much more glamorous album cover with that photo-shoot, its look "blah".
Hmm. Need to listen how all the songs sound like to decide if I'm going to buy it. At this point I think I will though.

Can't believe this bitch is covering Up To The Mountain. They should just call the damn album Friday The 13th because the songs are going to killed off in horrible and disgusting ways.

I heard that as well about the Amazon. She's a good singer, I doubt she will cause other albums to go unbought so i don't get the hostility- I wish her much success.
