I hated the Battlefield cover so much I almost blame it for the cd under-performing. I know that is dramatic, but UGGGWIUGSDYGSYD. She is so gorgeous and they picked THAT picture???

WHO thought that cover was a good idea? You can't even tell that it's Jordin. It's an embarassing 80s throwback and Jordin looks like a mouth-breather. I think this photo would also have made a great cover:

I really hope Jordin has a "feature" on this album whether it be male or female. Kanye, T.I., Drake or maybe even Nicki Minaj.

Gross, please no Nick Jonas feature. I would boycott the album ... J/K But what scares me is that it actually could be a possibility with Mr. Jonas being her manager. BUT... if that does come to fruition and they actually "duet" maybe the option of the filming a music video and putting it on the disney channel or whatnot could happen. Great promotion, and it's not like the single has to go to radio. Send a single to pop/hac/rhythmic and just film a cute video to spin on the disney channel. But for now they could just be in the studio writing together or something. Not necessarily recording a "duet"...

I don't care if she wants to duet with a Jonas, but do it on one of their albums that I don't have to buy, please.

Jordin tweeted that she was offered the song "Complicated" that is on Rihanna's latest album but that she wasn't able to record it because she was sick at the time.

It's interesting because Battlefield was originally intended for Rihanna but she decided not to do it after the Chris Brown incident and Complicated was offered to Jordin but she was unable to record it.
Battlefield >>>> Complicated though

Battlefield >>>> Complicated though I disagee. Battlefield is probably my least favourite Jordin single while Complicated is my personal favourite off of Loud. Tattoo, No Air and One Step At A Time are all quality tracks in my opinion.

I've never been a fan of One Step at a Time, it's the only Jordin single I could never really get into and it's actually my least favorite song on her debut.

I feel like Battlefield is dragged out and a bit too cliche for my taste. I am eager to see what she has planned next. She is definetely talented and with the right material I feel like she could have another era smilar to her debut :).

i posted this in the last thread singles
1. Midtempo Ft someone strong. maybe neyo. not christ brown again 2. Midtempo solo 3. Ballad Solo , i think shes one of the few that could pull off a ballad on radio like impossible by shontelle 4. Uptempo ft. hotish artist. maybe jason derulo or bruno mars
i say uptempo last since her uptempos are risky, so theres previous singles before it just in case it flops

Err, I'm kinda bummed she didn't get complicated. I feel like it could of been a hit for her, while Rihanna probably has no intention on releasing it.

I agree that Jordin would have done a great job with it. As much as I like Rihanna's version, I think Jordin's voice would make the chorus sound far less grating.

From producer Emanuel's Twitter: From Jordin's Twitter: Permanent Monday is one of my favorites off her debut. I hope this album sounds more like the debut than Battlefield.

Jive really needs to get this act together. I hope this era can play out like her first.

Congrats to Jordin for winning a Women’s Wear Daily 2010 Beauty Biz Award. She and her team are being recognized for having the Best Executed Launch Strategy for a fragrance sold in the mass market with her first fragrance, “Because of You”.

Congrats Jordin! Also, I was thinking it would be really cool if she worked with Alex Da Kid.

This is my favorite live performance of Jordin's. She was FIERCE and came out on that stage and commanded it like a star- not to mention, she looked incredible. For me, this performance was the perfect start to the era. Unfortunately, things weren't handled quite so well from there.
- Fantastic Idol performance to coincide with single release - Subpar music video is released - Subpar album cover is revealed - Battlefield the single goes top 10 on CHR, top 10 on Hot 100 and hits 1 million downloads - Jordin joins Jonas Brothers tour and therefore does minimal album promotion when the album is released (Alexa Chung and Wendy Williams don't count as significant promotion) - Album gets excellent reviews including an A- from Entertainment Weekly. - Album has lackluster first week sales - SOS is announced as second single (mistake!) - Jive does not release SOS for two months! - No promotion for SOS other than the music video - SOS underperforms (although is a moderate overseas hit, sells 200k and makes Top 40 on CHR...it also managed #1 on Dance Club Play) - No follow-up single is released - Album sells 177k total in the US

Yeah that performance was awesome and it got me really excited for the era. If the rest of the era had gone that well it could've been huge.

IMO, Jive and Jordin's management messed up the era. Starting with releasing SOS, right down to her touring with The Jonas Brothers instead of doing a nice promotional circuit.
But alas, all is done. Hopefully they play their cards right this time.
And is it me, or did Jordin's voice become more "squeaky" after her vocal cord troubles?

- Jive does not release SOS for two months! - No promotion for SOS other than the music video
the delayed release i think was the biggest problem. SOS had a divas performance. not huge promo, but promo. and i dont beleive it ever reached 200k sales
