"You COME into mah house. You TOUCH mah chahld. I'll SHOW you crazy!" I am also hopeful that the following lyrics will make it into the song: "She wuz NAYKED in yo' hoe-tell rooem?!?!?!?!?!" "Breathe b***h!!!!" "b***h! Didn't you get my message?" I just got a complaint from UPSTAIRS in my building because I was laughing so much at that. Good lord.

Glad to hear it's an uptempo. I mean, it's going to be interesting alright, but it could work with Beyonce having 'Ego' and Keri having 'Knocks You Down' at Urban. A hot uptempo might work really well there. Pop is going to be a different story. GaGa, Britney, and Beyonce all have uptempos on the rise. We'll see... Were all of her #1s repressed or there are some with a typical #1 single chart run? Only DFAU and TMB. Honestly, though, TMB was #1 for 2 weeks and would have gotten there anyway. DFAU would have too; it made it to #3 without sales at all. The repression just secured that completely. In the 90s - early 00s, Mariah's label sold a few copies of the singles for very cheap (TGIFY and Loverboy, which didnt even go to #1, are the only ones I can think of right now) to try and get #1s too. But this is a practice many record labels do, and IDJ likes to do in particular. It's authenticity is debatable, but you can't argue that if a song has the most downloads in a week combined with as much airplay to make it #1, that it shouldn't be #1.

repressed again LOL! Im excited for this! It would be a dream if 'Boom Boom Pow' lasted 15 weeks on the Hot 100, only for this to go to #1 and replace it.

^It was, but it really didn't matter, it was going to be #1 no matter what because the airplay was big.

I'm pretty sure Don't Forget About Us would have been #1 without the repressed downloads as well.

Neither of those songs (TMB or DFAU) would've been #1 had downloads not been repressed. Of course we can't say for certain, but Mariah is a horrible digital seller and if the demand was never built up, how do you know that those songs would've been able to reach the top?
Just look at the overall sales of those two songs. They're absolutely horrible. And when you realize that they're #1 singles, it's quite clear that they weren't that big or memorable.

TMB was #1 for 2 weeks barely. It sure sunk quick the 3rd week after release and left the hot 100 quick. DFAU may have went #1 but i dunno. yeah this song is probably about her fans Edit: bleeding love re-took the #1 spot from her after TMB's 2 weeks at #1. she would have nevr got her 18th #1 if they never repressed the shit out of that song.

Thank goodness it's not the H-A-T-E U song, that sounded like a flop. Will be interesting to see how this does. I think this needs to be her biggest hit since WBT if she really wants to get back on track.

Both TMB and DFAU would've been #1 without repressed downloads. To say neither of them would is just not smart.
In DFAU's case, it had already made it to #2 WITHOUT ANY HELP FROM DOWNLOADS. That was based on airplay alone. If it even had a small amount of downloads, it would've been #1. In fact, by repressing downloads, they may have cost it more weeks at #1.
In TMB's case, look at the 2nd week it spent at #1. With as big of an airplay hit as TMB was, it could've easily gotten to #1 without repressing downloads and when it was no longer #1 at downloads, it still managed to pull off a 2nd week at #1. To say they wouldn't have gotten there is just not true. Repressing downloads just eliminates the drama from the equation.

sorry, but let's inject some reality checks into a few people -- even the biggest loon Lamb canNOT possibly admit w/ a totally str8t face that songs like TGIFY, TMB, DFAU, Someday etc..were/are these iconic #1 worthy, classic pop songs that you *still* hear on multiple formats on radio LOL. Songs maybe like Hero, Fantasy, VOL, WBT and some others maybe so, but MANY of her #1s were absolute fly by night/ discounted/ fluke #1s.

I'm a MC fan (NOT a Lamb by any means though), but I have to agree. Some of her #1's are just absolute jokes. Some of them are legitimate smashes though, so her #1's go both ways.

BTW, I think DFAU would of went #1 repressed or not, but I definitely don't think TMB would of. No one can say for sure though.

TMB has only sold 1.2 million digital downloads to date. that is low as hell. Look at the #1s at the time of TMB. Love in this club, bleeding love, lollipop. All had huge sales and eventually airplay. Mimi does not have strong sales period unless repressed. Bleeding love retook the top spot from TMB quick. you know that is sad. Mimi had her 200+ weeks and then dropped off quick. I love moo moo but I am honest. sorry.

DFAU was a huge record. It almost skimmed 200M AI. :o TMB had as many, if not more AI, than BBP does at the moment.
TGIFY, no comment lol

TGIFY, no comment lol Blame it had more AI but it did not go top 2 until after an american idol performance. Closer was #1 with big AI too and it only went top 10... a #1 airplay hit does not mean it can have big sales.
