not trying to start the z100 shit again but it means that the bigger pop stations are ignoring this one... it also seems like WQHT and WWPR are playing lesser of this single as well time to focus on the 2nd Team Mariah

Anyone know what the peak in AI fr Bye Bye was, aswell as its peak on Pop, Rhy, Urb??...........I think they have something in store for this song in AUG, with the late Pop adds, the remix and remix video......i think they are waiting on the BEP hype to die down and once this song has enough airplay, they will launch a whole bunch of remix's on itunes to get this to #1

If the album release is delayed they will miss the grammys deadline, which I think was the reason behind the early release anyway.

They should have just repressed the single. It would have AT LEAST guaranteed her another 19th #1 hit. I feel sorry for her.

I will laugh my ass off if this turns completely around and becomes a multi format smash and peaks at #1 on the Hot 100. Then again I'll also laugh if #11 is it's true peak and this single fades into obscurity.
In the end, only time will tell and this single still has a chance to do better.

i have talked to objective folks who feel the single is too r&b feeling in not in touch with the pop vibes of radio today...there is a reason why BEP,Lady Gaga,Taylor Swift are eating up the charts even Beyonce with Pop leanings with the exception of Single Ladies....Please Save mimi!

lawd some of you sound sooo desperate- its just radiates through the screen lol. Single is NOT going to #1 , no matter how many silly tricks, manipluations Mimi , Lambs and IDJ try to pull. For a 1st single from anyone like MIMI, Madonna, Britney etc.. to be in or around #20 on itunes in barely the 2nd week or so, means people aint feelin this. It's simply waaay too urban and lacks any pop friendly tinges. The only people who really eat this kind of song up are hardcore Lambs , not the 'mainstream' = multi format! Even her new song Hate you - from I heard, is just way to urban. This woman really shoulda attempted to do something semi risky and outside of her usual box. So simple - what's hot now = some kinda danceable/ pop friendly, yet tinged with r&b-sounding song - like 'Single Ladies' etc..- not very hard lol, but shes too petrified of missing #1. so transparent.

yea, urban is not the in thing anymore. She should've realized this and went a different direction. Big mistake. It's still a great song tho, imo. Just the wrong time for it. Flop doesn't mean it's not quality, cuz it is. It's just like Madonna releasing Hung Up at a very bad time for dance music. The quality is there, just not the right time for it. Simple as that.

I still like the song, but I don't think it is connecting like they wanted it too. I think they will have a great second single lined up-wasn't it originally the first single, but they decided they wanted something fun for the first single instead of serious?

I dont think so. For heaven sakes, if TGIFY - of all songs can hit #1, this - which is superior, - there's a def. a timing issue for the Mimi sound right now.She should stop being SO crazed w/ beating the Beatles and eat some of that humble pie ala Glitter era and be grateful for all eternity she'll most likely be the female w/ the most US #1s in our lifetime!

oh, im pretty sure if this was released during pretty much anytime between 2000-07/08 - before the LadyGaga, Rihanna electro/dance/pop revolution, shed easily be in or around #1 now - basically, waay higher than where its at now.

If she was smart, she would have went for a 'Closer' Ne-Yo type sound. I think that would have proven successful.
It's kind of like because she can't dance, she makes music so she doesn't have to. She can easily make a dance record without having to dance in the video. Rihanna does it all of the time.

Plenty of songs are hits nowadays that aren't electro-pop.

This should've been an album track, she's giving Em. too much relevance.
