Hey HG, back when I posted about the Grease Megamix you increased her total of top 40s from 22 to 23. Maybe 24 is a typo (?)

I'm all sorts of confused- P!nk and Olivia were both at 23; now she's at 24. So, that broke the tie... what I was thinking, I'm not too sure. Also of note is that the R&R chart wasn't as deep as 40 positions for a time in the the 70s- and when it was, it then went back to 30 positions for seven years through the early 80s. So Ms. Olivia (like some other hit makers from back in the day) isn't fully represented.

Posting the updated female info on this new page. Katy Perry lands a 15th top 40 entry, but that's below the threshhold of 18 on the list- she'll likely pass that with singles from the new album.
I also updated the "includes" info, since most of those were not current hits any longer.
Through the 11/23/13 Pop Songs/Mainstream Top 40 chart
Notes: * "S&M" is not counted for Britney Spears, as her name was never added to airplay credits, even for a single week) * Mariah Carey's totals include "All I Want For Christmas is You," which appeared on Billboard's Top 40 Mainstream chart (but not R&R)
September 1973-Present

And the males...
I added Chris Brown, but he may have more (and a more recent one- maybe someone can check?). I went by the R&R peaks. Also, Timberlake.

Are you also counting "Blood on the Dancefloor" for Michael? It missed on R&R, but it reached #37 on Billboard.

Thanks for the head-up, Xiivi- I have added him. :)
johnm- I had not counted "Blood on the Dancefloor" for MJ- but I will, and have upped his count to 32. Billboard's chart history (which is wildly incomplete) shows a No. 38 peak.
I wonder if there are any others, that just missed the mark on R&R, but did make Billboard's chart.

Both Katy Perry and Lady Gaga land their, I believe, 13th top 20 hits at top 40 radio this week. That number falls short of the listed threshold, but their top 10 counts are listed, so if either should land inside the top 10...

Yes- and she will tie BFF RiRi. These newer females, in all of their release relentlessness (I'm talkin' to you, especially, RiRi), will be passing the other vets at some point, no doubt.

Ms. Katheryn lands a 10th No. 1, tying BFF RiRi. Post on this page updated to reflect it.
I also added Bruno Mars to the list of male top 10s, as Billboard noted that he had 11. And also, I fixed his top 5 count to reflect 10.

Britney Spears lands another entry on the 10/5 chart- but, Billboard reports it's her 32nd. "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know" peaked at 34 R&R, but did not crack Billboard's chart- hence, the discrepancy in the count.

Shouldn't Ludacris be on the list? If we're counting features, of course.

^Earlier, I mentioned that assistance on the hip-hop guys who have a number of features would be welcome. The site that has the R&R info doesn't necessarily include every single "feature" under an act, so for those, it's not as easy (it didn't even list every "feature" under J. Timberlake). If you could get a count for Ludacris, it would be great. Thanks. :)

Ms. Katheryn Hudson lands a 16th top 40 entry with "Unconditionally," and an instant14th top 20- I've added her to the top 20 list (not sure, off-hand, if there are any others with 14).
And Ms. Stefani Germanotta hits the double-digit mark in top fives, as "Applause" climbs 6-5* at Mainstream Top 40.
No milestones on the male front- Bruno Mars is looking to land another top 10 next week, though.

HG, You can add Taylor Swift with 14 top 20s on pop. Besides the 12 you can see in the UTA website, you should add her duets Two is better than one and Everything has changed :)

^Will do- thanks, Juan. :)
Speaking of Taylor Swift- a couple notable differences with a couple tracks- i.e. "22" peaked at 10 Mediabase and 12 Billboard. And "Fifteen" peaked at 12 R&R (I believe it was still used in 2009) and No. 10 Billboard.

Interesting info about TS :) (although Red's peak was 10 in Mediabase ;) ) I have another update you can include in the female list... it was trickier, so you may want to double check if I miss anything: Nicki Minaj with 18 Top 40s!! This is what I have. As leading act: Your Love #21 Right thru me #32 Moment 4 life #19 Super Bass #3 Where them girls at #12 Fly #16 Starships #3 Pound the alarm #11 Va va voom #12
As featured: My chick bad (Ludacris) #38 Check it out (Will.I.Am) #20 Bottoms up (Trey Songz) #10 2012 (Jay Sean) #19 Turn me on (David guetta) #2 Beauty and a beat (Justin bieber) #2 Letting go (Sean kingston) #26 Give me all your luvin (Madonna) #24 Love me (Chris brown) #40
She participated in some remixes (Girl on fire, Tonight I'm getting over you), but I don't think those versions were the main ones in CHR radio.

Hmmm... if you look at Billboard's site, it also has "Dance A$$" (No. 27) and "Where Them Girls At" (No. 13). And it lists "Girl on Fire" (though is that a glitch, like when it credited Britney Spears on 'S&M" for the airplay chart?) Also some one-position or so differences in peaks.
It doesn't list "Love Me"- did that miss the Pop Songs chart?

WTGA is in the list Not sure about Dance A$$'s remix Oops! I just mentioned Love Me because I saw it in the Mediabase thread-haven't double checked with Billboard. [I'm on a work trip in Indonesia and checked Pulse again after several weeks... I hadn't seen the CHR chart since August practically :O busy quarter!]

Rihanna lands yet another entry this week, which brings her to a three-way tie for second place among females. With all the featurings and her own output, is there any doubt she'll be the leader in the future?
I added R. Kelly to the male list, with an asterisk, as he may have more than 16.

Eminem lands another top 20, as does collaborator Rihanna.
Pitbull also lands another top 20- I have his count at 14, but if someone can double-check that one. :)
