R. Kelly only has 14 top 40 hits from what I see including features (unless I'm missing some). Satisfy You, Snakes and Thoia Thoing missed the top 40.

Thanks much, Juan. :) For consistency sake, I will count all of the Paul McCartney and Wings hits together, as Billboard does. Did David Guetta sing a note on any of those hits?

HG. Shouldn't this be Gaga's 14th top 20 though? 11 top 10s plus Judas, Marry the Night and DWUW?

Were the top 20 charts from the Hamilton report considered the official pop radio charts before R&R?

Do you guys know which are the longest running #1s since 1994? When they changed the methodology?

JuanK- I initially had 14, but for some reason posted 13. Stats overload, apparently. Erin- not sure what was considered official pre-September 1973. I had not heard of Hamilton. RadioBeatz- on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 chart, "The Sign" looks to have had the most weeks on top (14). And then four songs had 11 weeks- "One Sweet Day," "I Love You Always Forever," "Torn" and "Over and Over." And then some had 10 and nine. Radio & Records didn't become spins-based until later in 1994, I imagine?

I guess "I Love You Always Forever" is the longest running #1 (12 weeks) from 1994-2013.

If R&R became spins-based when 'The Sign" was No. 1, you'd think it would have stayed on top- or did it hit the top of R&R after it did on Billboard? At times, a couple of positions could separate the Billboard and R&R peaks, in part because of different tracking periods and monitored stations, though.
Erin- so Hamilton is Gavin? I remember checking out the Gavin charts circa the late 90s.

No, Hamilton was a radio reporting magazine that lasted from the 50's to the 70's that reported on the top 20 most played songs on radio in the country. Gavin is a completely different publication within the same vein.

Ahh, OK- gotcha. :) I never researched those charts; they could be worth looking into, for pre-R&R stats.

RiRi lands an 11th No. 1, while Eminem lands a fourth. If someone can look over the counts for Eminem, it would be great. :) (this looks to be his 10th top 10, not counting Bad Meets Evil)
Any other milestones will be updated when the new Mainstream Top 40 chart is posted.

Added Katheryn Hudson to the top 40 list, as she lands her 17th this week. Any other females with 17?

Billboard didn't credit her on "Half of My Heart," though, correct?
Stafani Gaga lands another top 10 this week (her 12th). And Chris Brown scores another top 40 entry (I believe his 24th).

I didn't know that. The Billboard webpage is not clearcut. It appears under Taylor's hits in the Hot100 and Adult Pop charts, but not as John's. Not sure what happened in the printed edition though.

One question: Is Ke$ha credited for Flo Rida's "Right Round"?
EDIT: Speaking of Flo, I don't think you've counted "Can't Believe It" or "How I Feel" on his top 40 counts.

Ke$ha was credited initially on the Hot 100, and then she was removed. Not sure off-hand how the credit read on the airplay charts. I will look at Flo Rida's totals later on- thanks. :)

Queen B. lands another top 20, as "X"O moves to No. 19*.
While not listed under most top 20s for males, Bruno Mars scores a 13th.

Notable activity this week: * Katy Perry scores a 14th top 10 * Rihanna lands a 39th top 40 entry- she now trails only Madonna, in terms of 1973-present activity. Of course, around half of her entries either feature someone else, or are ones in which she's a featured act. * Chris Brown lands a 25th (I believe) top 40 entry.

Looks like that even before R&R, Broadcasting Magazine compiled a top 100 CHR airplay chart as well according to this source starting in 1973 as well: The Broadcasting Playlist
