I guess this will be on her new album. i wish she'd stop with the cover songs: www.people.com/people/article/0,,20326106,00.html Miley Cyrus Remakes '80s Rock Ballad 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn' | Bret Michaels, Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus and Bret Michaels Courtesy Bret Michaels Taking a page from a hair band classic, Miley Cyrus is remaking Poison frontman Bret Michaels's '80s rock ballad: "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." " 'Every Rose' is one of her all-time favorite songs and she is really excited about cutting it," Miley's mom Tish Cyrus says. Miley, 17, might be young but her love for Poison runs deep. Her first concert experience – other than seeing dad Billy Ray Cyrus onstage – was watching the band perform in Nashville. And now she’s been in the studio with Michaels – along with other producers – putting her own spin on the '80s ballad. She recorded the song in New York, her rep confirms. And rumor is that Michaels might even dust off his blue rose guitar to play on the track.

"The Climb" was disqualified from the Grammy's. It was replaced with Karen O & The Kids' song "All Is Love."

Considering Miley didn't write the song so she wouldn't have been awarded the Grammy anyway, I'm sure she's not heartbroken.

I'm happy the ep is doing so well. I was not expecting it to cross the million mark.
I'm praying her new album will be a cross of the ep and breakout.

she posted this on her site:
‘Every Rose’Wed, Dec 16, 2009
Every Rose is a classic and one of my favorites. Bret Michaels and Poison was my very first concert and introduced me to rock and roll.
I recently heard the song play and everyone around me starting singing along. Its a song that everyone knows and loves. I feel like the way the music industry is today really shelters kids and they aren’t exposed to songs as honest and real as this one.
Bret and I had a great time in the studio together just hanging out and making music. It was so surreal to have him sit down with his acoustic guitar and walk me through Every Rose and then give me the opportunity to add my own flare and edge to it. Bret is so passionate about music and it shows.
I think it is such a rad collaboration because it shows that two artists that seem so different on the outside can come together and organically create something that we are both proud of. I look forward to finishing the song in LA with Bret and John Shanks who is producing.

I'm shaking my motherfucking head at Miley Cyrus' deplorable penchant to see right past her strengths.

I'm shaking my mother fu cking head at Miley Cyrus' deplorable penchant to see right past her strengths. well personally i think shes right, that pop music isn't her strength, at least stuff like PITUSA isn't. that was popular because it was literally perfect for radio, it wasn't perfect because it was what she is good at

anyways bret talking about working with Miley: www.mtv.com/news/articles/1628679/20091221/cyrus__miley.jhtmlMiley Cyrus was excited to work with Bret Michaels on a "rad" cover of Poison's classic ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," and the feeling was mutual. Michaels insisted that Cyrus is the real deal and he was honored that the star was interested in working with him on the song. "It was really, really simple," he told MTV News recently while promoting his cameo in "American Pie Presents: The Book of Love." "I think her first concert was Poison. She saw us at Nashville at the arena. It was her introduction into rock and roll." He went on to say that despite her role on "Hannah Montana" and her reputation for making catchy pop, Cyrus truly does have a rock-and-roll spirit. "She's one of the few musicians — and I want to use that word cause she can actually play and sing — she's one of the few people who can pull it off and give it her own flare and make it sound good," Michaels offered. Although there's still some work to be done on the track before it hits stores, the Poison frontman noted that Cyrus "nailed the song. She really knew what she was doing." He added, "She got in there and picked the guitar up. It was one of those nights that just worked. It was fun. It's gotta be her taking 'Every Rose' and making it all hers." He made sure to note that the track won't be a duet. "Well, I'll do some harmonies and stuff like that, but it's gotta be her version," he explained. "I think that's what's going to make the song feel like she owns it. She's got a very contemporary twist to it ... it has to be what she feels and [producer] John Shanks feels what's playing on contemporary radio."

Wind The Music reported that
Miley wrote on her official site MileyWorld that first single from her new album will be released in late April or early May, and album in late June!
But I can't find it on the site. Anyone see it? .. I think they meant "single" for late April/Early May though.

I really don't know how true this is, but I might as well post it.
I was reading on anythingdisney LJ that according to a recent issue of J-14 magazine, one of the bonus tracks for Miley's upcoming album is a duet with Leighton Meester.

I'm guessing Janurary, because she did say just the other day that it is her next single and it needs to come out soon. so i'd say Janurary or really early Feburary. and i heard about the bonus track thing too but i looked on J14's site and it says nothing about it.

After PITUSA, they should have released another single, then WILAY, not because other songs are better just to keep her in the music scene until the movie comes out...
Didn't the movie get pushed back to like April? I doubt the song will be released this month if it's still ages to the movie

the climb was released in late Janurary Last year, and the HMTM movie came out the same weekend as last song will.
and the problem with releasing another song is just that that other then the title track nothing on there is really all that radio friendly(other then PITUSA) and she didn't even do TTOOL on tour. I get the impression they really dont like that song.

She should release When I Look At You soon, just to keep her in the music scene until her album drops.
